No divestment in IOC, ONGC, GAIL & OIL: Shourie

The government will not divest its equity below 51 per cent and shed management control in the Indian Oil Corporation, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and the Gas Authority of India Ltd, Divestment Minister Arun Shourie said on Monday.

''It has been decided that in respect of IOC, ONGC and GAIL government shareholding would not be reduced below 51 per cent. It has also been decided that there is no need for divestment in the Oil India Ltd'', Shourie informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply.

Maruti's share price not finalised: Shourie further said that the government has not finalised the pricing of the shares for proposed rights issue in its joint venture,Maruti Udyog Ltd.
