The Board of Directors of Bliss Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has approved and allotted 836500 equity shares to the promoters and their associates specific to say to M/s. Skypack Service Specialist Ltd. After this allotment the stake of the promoters have increased from 28.77% to 51.69%.

Ajanta Pharma FY-01 net profit down by 62.73%

Ajanta Pharma Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 64.17 million in the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 172.18 million in the corresponding period last fiscal. Total Income for the current year stood at Rs 806.16 million as compared to Rs 1598.07 million in the year ended March 31, 2000. The figures for the previous period includes the Bulk Drug business which has since been divested. The expansion of Ethi+Care business has seen the Company's research products already available across the country. 20 new products have been launched during this year. The expenses on expansion has fully been charged to revenue, which has reduced the profit after tax to 8% of sales. But for this the profitability is 16% of sales against 11% in the previous year, which is the result of refocusing on core strength of formulations.

Rollatainers Board to call EGM to seek members approval on restructuring proposal

The Board of Directors of Rollatainers Ltd at its meeting held on April 28, 2001 has considered proposal of restructuring the business of Packaging and Paperboard into two distinctive entities. It has been decided to convene Extra Ordinary General Meeting to take shareholders approval for the following: 1. For incorporating/acquiring a wholly owned subsidiary of Rollatainers Ltd. 2. To enable the Board to decide at appropriate time and on suitable terms, subject to approval of relevant Financial Institutions and Banks and in the interest of the company, whenever required to transfer certain assets of the company at book value to such wholly owned subsidiary.

With reference to a news item titled 'HLL, JK to battle it out for Helene Curtis brand', appearing in a leading financial daily, Raymond Ltd has clarified that there is no dispute between Hindustan Lever Ltd and J K Helene Curtis Ltd. J K Helene Curtis Ltd was incorporated under the name and style "J K Helene Curtis Ltd" on March 09, 1964 and the name of the Company continues to be the same. Raymond Ltd has further clarified that J K Helene Curtis Ltd is not a subsidiary of the Company.
