 Graphite FY-01 net up by 56.28%
 Graphite India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 191.60 million in the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 122.60 million in the year ended March 31, 2000. Total Income posted is at Rs 2641.90 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 2444.40 million in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The Board of Directors have recommended dividend @ Rs 2.50 per equity shares of Rs 10 each for the year ended March 31, 2001.

 Videocon Appliances Q4 net down by 2.30%, FY-01 net up by 9.22%
 Videocon Appliances Ltd net profit has fallen from Rs 103.90 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2000 to Rs 101.50 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2001. Total Income posted for the quarter ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 2776.80 million as compared to Rs 2709.50 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2000.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs 381.10 million in the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 348.90 million in the corresponding period last fiscal. Total income for the year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 9669.30 million as compared to Rs 8801 million for the year ended March 31, 2000.

 Orient Info Q4 net down by 5.90%, FY-01 net up by 98.08%
 Orient Information Technology Ltd net profit has fallen Rs 46.39 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2000 to Rs 43.65 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2001. Total Income posted is at Rs 265.39 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 157.51 million in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs 201.12 million in the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 101.53 million in the financial year ended March 31, 2000. Total income posted is at Rs 909.88 million in the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 446.75 million in the corresponding period last fiscal.
During the quarter the company acquired software business of M/s Hisham & Co as a going concern. The company also acquired business of Paragon Software Ltd as a going concern during the year.

 Maral FY-01 net down by 53.43%
 Maral Overseas Ltd net profit has fallen from Rs 237.10 million in the year ended March 31, 2000 to Rs 110.40 million in the year ended March 31, 2001. Total Income posted by the company is at Rs 2592.30 million in the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 2594.90 million in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The Board of Directors has recommended dividend at the rate of 15% (Rs 1.50 per share) for the year ended March 31, 2001.

 TTK Healthcare Director resigns
 TTK Healthcare Ltd has informed BSE that the sale transaction pertaining to Bulk Drugs and Pharmaceutical formulations facility at Hyderabad stands completed.
Consequent to the above Dr K Lahiri, Technical Director who was in-charge of the facility has submitted his resignation with effect from April 26, 2001.

 Duphar-Interfran fixes record date for Scheme of Arrangement
 Duphar-Interfran Ltd has fixed the record date as June 04, 2001 for Scheme of Arrangement for de-merger of pharmaceutical division of the Company. As per the scheme of arrangement two equity shares of Rs 10 each fully paid-up of Duphar Pharma will be allotted for every one existing share of Rs 10 each fully paid up of Duphar-Interfran, held. Transactions in equity shares of Duphar-Interfran Ltd will be done on Cum- Entitlement Basis upto May 18, 2001 and on Ex-Entitlement Basis from May 21, 2001.

 Balaji Telefilms to review merger of Nine Network
 Balaji Telefilms Ltd has informed BSE that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company is being convened on May 09, 2001 to consider amongst other items of agenda, the review of merger of Nine Network Entertainment India Ltd with the Company.

 Bajaj Auto FY-01 net down by 57.21%
 Bajaj Auto Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 2625.60 million for the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 6137.30 million in the financial year ended March 31, 2000. Total Income for the year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 34018.70 million as compared to Rs 36077.20 million in FY-00.
The fall in profits during the year 2000-2001 is mainly attributable to the overall shrinkage of the geared scooter market, which registered a fall of 38% (from 0.97 million units in 1999-2000 to 0.60 million units in 2000-2001). The company being a leader in this segment has borne the brunt of this fall.
The Board of Directors of the company has recommended a dividend of 80% for the year ended March 31, 2001.
After adjusting for prior period items the net profit for the financial year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 2499.50 million as compared to Rs 6348.60 million in FY-00.

 Brite Automotive fixes Record Date for Scheme of Amalgamation
 Brite Automotive and Plastics Ltd. has informed BSE that it has fixed Record Date on June 15, 2001 for Scheme of Amalgamation between the Company and Bright Brothers Ltd. One equity share of Rs 10 each of Bright Brothers will be allotted for every two existing shares of Rs 10 each of Bright Automotive Plastics, held.

 Indian Seamless to issue equity shares on private placement basis
 Indian Seamless Metal Tubes Ltd. has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company has approved the following proposals, subject to necessary approvals:
1. To offer for subscription upto maximum of 1.1 million equity shares of Rs 10 each of the company to International Finance Corporation on private placement basis at a price to be determined as per SEBI Guidelines.
2. To offer for subscription upto a maximum of 2.2 million equity shares of Rs 10 each of the company to the Promoter (sponsor) of the company at a price to be determined as per SEBI Guidelines.
