 Bharat Forge FY-01 net at Rs 326.40 million
 Bharat Forge Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 326.40 million for the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 626.20 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2000. Total Income for the financial year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 4877.50 million as compared to Rs 5240.30 million in the financial year ended March 31, 2000.
The previous years Financial figures in respect of Balance Sheet items are not comparable with those of the current year in view of the demerger of Investment and Wind Mills Division into a new Company under a Scheme of Arrangement sanctioned by the High Court of Judicature at Mumbai effective March 1, 2001.
The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 3/- per share (30%) subject to approval of shareholders.

 Berger Paints FY-01 net profit up by 20.21%
 Berger Paints Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 284.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 237 million in the corresponding period last fiscal. Total Income for the financial year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 4961 million as compared to Rs 4434.40 million in the financial year ended March 31, 2000.

 FDC FY-01 net profit up by 4.06 %, Board approves stock split, buy-back
 FDC Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 245.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2001 as against Rs 235.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2000. Total Income for the year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 1487.10 million as compared to Rs 1365.70 million in FY-00.
The Board of Directors has recommended a final Dividend of Rs 6.50 per Equity Share of Rs 10 each, amounting to Rs 63.318 million for the year ended 31st March, 2001.
The Board of Directors has approved the sub-Division of each Equity Shares of the Company having a face value of Rs 10 each, into 10 Equity Shares of Re 1 each, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
The Board of Directors has approved the proposal for Buy-back of Equity Shares of the Company, subject to a maximum of 10% of the paid-up Equity Share Capital as on 31st March, 2001, at a price not exceeding Rs 25 per Equity Share of Re 1 each (after sub-division), subject to a maximum total consideration of Rs 230.00 million, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

 Mirza Tanners Q4 net profit at Rs 3 million, FY-01 net profit at Rs 145.60 million
 Mirza Tanners Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 3 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2001 as compared to a net profit of Rs 44.90 million in the corresponding period last year. Total Income for the quarter ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 368 million as compared to Rs 301.60 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2000.
Net Profit for the year ended March 31, 2001 stood at Rs 145.60 million as compared to a net profit of Rs 184.30 million for the year ended March 31, 2000. Total Income for the year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 1403.30 million as against Rs 1225.60 million in the year ended March 31, 2000.
The Board of Directors of the company has recommended a dividend of 15% (Rs 1.50 per share) for the year ended March 31, 2001.

 Principal Pharma appoints Pradeep Malu as CEO
 Principal Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals Ltd has informed BSE that Mr S R B Nair ceased to be the Managing Director of the Company w.e.f. May 31, 2001 and he had also resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company.
Further the Company informed that Mr Pradeep Malu has been appointed as a Whole Time Director of the Company designated as President and Chief Executive Officer w.e.f June 01,2001.

 Oriental Bank gets new Director
 Oriental Bank of Commerce has informed BSE that Shri Ajay Maroo (Chief Editor, Ranchi Express, Hindi Daily, Ranchi) has been appointed by the Central Government as a Director of the Bank for a period of 3 year w.e.f May 3, 2001.

 BSE advises members not to deal in 3 scrips
  BSE has informed Members of the Exchange that, the Board of Directors of GIC Asset Management Company Ltd. has approved the proposal of delisting of the following scrips effective from close of trading hours of 31st March, 2001, as the company has provided for repurchase facility in respect of these scrips. Therefore, members of the exchange are hereby advised not to deal in the units of the said schemes with effect from June 04, 2001.

 Shonkh Techno clarifies on news item
 With reference to a news article appearing in leading financial daily titled "Shonkh shelves overseas plan" Shonkh Technologies International Ltd has informed BSE that the current trend in the capital market is not favourable to raising of capital and therefore the expansion plans of the Company are likely to be affected if the company depends solely on the placement of equity for funding its expansion plans.
The company has stated that there is no plan to shelve such expansion and the company is looking at options of alternate means of funding for the same. However, the Company has not firmed up any alternate strategy as on the date.

 Astra Pharma AB acquires 3.09% equity of Astra IDL
 Astra- IDL Ltd has informed BSE that Astra Pharmaceuticals AB Sweden (Astra) founder promoter of the company has acquired by purchase from the market 1,64,300 equity shares of Rs 10 each of the company representing 3.09% of the paid up capital of the company.
The acquisition has been approved by both, Foreign Investment Promotion Board and Reserve Bank of India.

 Victoria Mills MD purchases 2.52% equity shares of the company
 Victoria Mills Ltd has informed BSE that the company has received intimation from Shri Aditya Mangaldas Chairman & Managing Director, that he has purchased 2490 equity shares representing (2.52%) equity shares of the company on May 31,2001 from market. His shareholding after the aforesaid acquisition is 17668 equity shares representing (17.93%) of the equity capital of the company.

 BIFR sanctions rehabilitation scheme for Gujarat Borosil
 Gujarat Borosil Ltd has informed BSE that, BIFR vide an order passed on May 11,2001 has sanctioned Rehabilitation Scheme for the company and ICICI has been appointed as Monitoring Agency to implement the Scheme.

 Dabur India FY-01 PAT up by 39.24%
  Dabur India Ltd has posted a profit after tax of Rs 785.20 million for the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 563.90 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2000. Total Income for the year ended March 31, 2001 is at Rs 11823.40 million as compared to Rs 10557.40 million in FY-00.
After consideration of extra-ordinary items of Rs 6 million for the year ended March 31, 2001 the net profit is at Rs 779.20 million as compared to Rs 774.30 million in the financial year ended March 31, 2000 which was after consideration of extra ordinary items of Rs 210.40 million in FY-00.
The Board of Directors has declared an interim dividend of Rs 0.50 (i.e. 50%) per equity share of Re 1 each for the financial year 2000-01. The Company has fixed 7th June, 2001 as the record date for the purpose of taking record of shareholders entitled for the payment of the said interim dividend.
The Board of Directors has also recommended, subject to the approval of the shareholders, a final dividend of Rs 0.50 (i.e.50%) per equity share of Re 1 each for the financial year 2000-01. With this the total dividend for the financial year 2000-01 will become 100%.

 Dupont Sportswear to be referred to BIFR
 Dupont Sportswear Ltd has informed BSE that, based on the latest financial results, the company shall make an application with the BIFR to declare the company as a 'Sick Industrial Company' within the provisions of SICA, 1985.

 Britannia Ind fixes Book Closure for AGM & dividend
 Britannia Industries Ltd has fixed the Book Closure from July 17, 2001 to July 28, 2001(both days inclusive) for the purpose of the 82nd Annual General Meeting and for the purpose of payment of dividend of 55% (Rs 5.50 per share).
The dividend on the equity share capital as approved by the shareholders at the AGM will be payable on or after July 28, 2001 to those members on the company's Register of Members as on that date.

 BSE imposes AVM on 62 scrips
 BSE has informed the Members of the Exchange that Additional Volatility Margin (AVM) has been imposed on the following scrips for the settlement No. 011/2001-2002 commencing on Monday, June 04,2001.
