Toffler to address Indian executives on Sept 19Indian executives will soon get a chance to hear first hand from Alvin Toffler, the author of Future Shock and The Third Wave, what the future holds for the technology sphere. Toffler, who anticipated today's computer revolution as well as cloning, cable television and customised products speeding up daily life long before it happened, will be speaking on 'The Economy of the Future' at DocuWorld India 2001, which will showcase the latest in printing technologies and solutions on September 19. A leader in identifying world trends and relating them to future business practices, Toffler came to be regarded as one of the most influential futurists with global best-sellers like Powershift, The Third Wave and other works co-authored with his wife Heidi. A worldwide initiative started in 1997 by Xerox Corporation, DocuWorld India 2001 is a major marketing programme of the company that addresses a global market opportunity for digital printing that is expected to be well over $150 billion. The event will be showcasing latest in digital technology. "It is a unique event where the industry's top thinkers and innovators work as partners in a common forum sharing a wealth of experience. It is about 'show-me' demonstrations on the latest in digital technology," said Pedro Fabrega, chairman and managing director of Xerox ModiCorp Limited, in a press statement. "When it comes to identifying what's coming next, there is no one as widely respected as Alvin Toffler." Indo-Asian News Service |
