I want to patch up with Manu: Kishore Chhabria

Kishore Chhabria, estranged brother of Dubai-based businessman and chairman of Shaw Wallace chairman Manu Chhabria, said on Saturday that he wanted to patch up differences with his elder sibling.

Kishore Chhabria, chairman of BDA Limited, which owns 'Officers Choice' brand said that there was no point in 'continuing with the fight' as it would do no good to either of them. "Now it's time to sort out the differences. I shall be meeting him shortly."

He clarified, however, the main reason to reconcile with Manu Chhabria was not to fight their common foe, Vijay Mallya, chairman of UB Group.

"Instead, the reconciliation would help both of us", he said declining to elaborate.

Questioned whether he was ready to accept a berth in the Shaw Wallace board again if offered, he asked "Why should I do that?"

Relations between the two brothers turned sour when Kishore Chhabria, the then managing director of Shaw Wallace, decided to part ways with Manu after being accused of funds mismanagement by the elder Chhabria.

Things went to such an extent that Kishore joined hands with Mallya.
