Select pivotals remain strong, across-the-board selling in new economy stocks.
In the second half of trading, the market witnessed across-the-board aggressive selling in the new economy stocks. Most of the software stocks ended the day at the lower limit after recovering from the morning blues. HLL and SBI remained strong throughout the day else the index would have been down by more than 200 points.
Sensex down 148 points. Nifty down 57 points.
