P&G launches fabric odour cleaner 'Febreze'

Email this report to a friend

American multinational Procter and Gamble on Thursday launched Febreze, a patented fabric odour cleaner, the first cleaning spray in India.

The product would be launched in other cities in India later.

Procter and Gamble associate director V Shankar told reporters after the launch that the product cleanses away odours safely and permanently on virtually all types of fabric such as upholstery, carpeting, curtains, bedding and car seats.

The company lined up actress Khushboo and models and socialites for endorsement of the products.

The product, already launched in the United States and twenty other countries was now being launched in India along with Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia in Asia.

The product is now imported from the company's manufacturing facility in the US.

Manufacturing the product in India would depend on economies of scale, Shankar said.
