Scanning a QR code is pretty simple. Go to the online application store and search for a QR code scanner. Tap on any one of the applications shown in the search results and install it in your phone. Once installed, open the application to scan a QR code. • I entered my phone number to receive an SMS. Why am I asked to enter a CAPTCHA? Can I skip this step?

A CAPTCHA is a type of challenge-response test to ensure that the mobile number is entered by a human being and not a computing system. Simply put, it is a spam filter deployed to protect the system from cyber-attacks and email spam.
