Port workers call off strike, resume duty
The five-day strike, which had crippled cargo handling in 11 major ports, was withdrawn after an agreement was reached with the government on Saturday night. The workers resumed duty at 0600 IST on Sunday.

The BJP has agreed to contest 160 of the 324 seats, the Samata Party a maximum of 120, and the Janata Dal (United) a maximum of 40, according to top BJP sources. The agreement has only been held up by the question of who will relinquish 10-12 seats for the smaller partners.
