We start with this photograph from R K Ravi, who says, “I visited Jog falls in Karnataka in mid August and the beauty was to be experienced rather defined. The extended monsoon added more charm to it. It is worth visiting once in a life time.”
This photograph of the Pangong Tso is shared by Dr Y Ashok Babu. This blue water lake at the height of about 4,350 metres in Leh is perhaps the most beautiful in the country.
Here’s a picture of the river Bhagirathi is sent to us by Siddhanth Dhariwal.
The Bhagirathu originates at Gaumukh (Gangotri glacier) in Uttarakhand at an elevation of 3,892 metres.
“In the pic of the river Ganga (Bhagirathi) as it emerges from its geographical source, Gaumukh, was taken at dusk with my back facing the Gaumukh, as the water makes its way towards Gangotri,” writes Siddhanth.
Sadip Salian shares this lovely photograph of the Bhandar Dhara Dam in Nashik, Maharashtra.
Dr Niranjan Shendurnikar writes in saying, “This alluring photograph was shot on one of the late summer evenings in the vicinity of Sardar Sarovar Dam, Gujarat in the serenity of valley below and flowing Narmada Canal against the backdrop of setting sun and partly clouded sky.”
