With 2010 having drawn to a close, we're inviting you to send in your best photograph of last year. We'll be posting a few every day and readers will get to vote for each one. The 20 that land the maximum number of votes will then be compiled into a 'best of' list that will be published at the end of this month.

Arunendra Mishra writes in: I clicked this picture in Kavadipatt near Pune. The areas around Pune are better known as the sugar belt of India and a lot of workers are involved in sugar industry here. While coming back from Kavadipatt I found children playing in the fields while their parents were busy working, I stopped there and clicked few pictures. This is one of them.
