Meanwhile, television's hottest stars share their Raksha Bandhan memories with Rajul Hegde.
We start with...
Aishwarya Sakhuja
As children, we would always have to ask mom and dad before we bought something, even if it was as a Raksha Bandhan gift.
But my brother wanted to do it all on his own.
He would start collecting change from all over a month prior to the day and get me something he wanted.
So he used to look for loose change all over the place -- under the bed, behind the sofa.
I found that really adorable.

Being a boy, my brother didn't really like to join in all the games we, as girls played. But he would do it nonetheless, knowing it'd make me happy.
I won't be able to visit him this year but a new channel is planning to connect us via video conferencing. It will be a new experience for me and I am looking forward to it

One of my fondest memories is that of my brother gifting me a handmade item every Raksha Bandhan.
Sadly, I won't see him this year though because he isn't in town.

I was 10 when my brother was born.
Raksha Bandhan became a very special occasion for me since then.
To this day I feel responsible towards my little brother.
On our first Raksha Bandhan, when he was still only just a few months old, my mother asked me to look after him.
He was on the sofa and I remember looking away for all of one second and he almost fell off!
I suppose that was when I realised how responsible I had to be now that I had a little brother.
To this day he teases me how he almost fell on our first Raksha Bandhan!
Now he has grown up so much, I find it hard to believe that he is the same little baby!
This year I will be meeting him before Rakhi, on my mother's birthday in Goa.
So it will probably be the most happening Rakhi for us!

I have two sisters -- Kaveri and Gayatri.
I used to make them cards each Raksha Bandhan.
We don't gift each other anything anymore.
Instead, on Raksha Bandhan we send out goodies to special schools.

My brother plans small surprises for me each year.
Sometimes he buys me a new dress; sometimes he takes me out for a surprise dinner.
Unfortunately, our work has kept us from meeting up on Raksha Bandhan for the last three years so I courier him a rakhi each year.
The last time I went back home, he showed me his collection of rakhis -- he has kept every single one that I've tied him or sent to him!
This Raksha Bandhan however will be special since he is in town and I am looking forward to taking some time off work to spend time with him.

My most memorable Raksha Bandhan was the year when i made my sister, Richa a card.
That evening she showed it to everyone who laughed because it was after all a child's work of art.
But they also appreciated my efforts.
Richa stays in Canada but this Raksha Bandhan she will be in Delhi where i plan to be this year :-)
What will I gift her? A dress would be a nice idea, don't you think?

My older sister Reema Pawa works as a fashion designer in Kolkata.
One of my fondest Raksha Bandhan memories was when I showed up unannounced at her doorstep on the day.
She couldn't believe it was me!
Then she took me out for a fancy lunch and bought me a laptop!
I think I am going to surprise her again :-P

Not having a father makes the presence of my brothers very special.
Rajesh is ten years my senior and Deepak is older to me by six years.
Both of them would indulge me and my cousins. They would patiently sit as we would colour their face with make up and gloss and then would 'perform' before the family along with all of us.
They didn't once bother with the fact that they looked like fools… they just played along.
Today they are highflying bankers and it is impossible to get the two of them together in the same city on Raksha Bandhan.
I miss having both of them by my side on Raksha Bandhan.
They love Kaju Katri and Motichoor laddoos.
So I send it to them via courier.
Rajesh, who is in Singapore, has already received a rakhi with kumkum and chandan.
Deepak however is in town this year and so his family will be over for lunch at my place.
I am really looking forward to it!
