Unusual summer pics: Two unlikely friends!

We invited you to send in unique summer-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here are a few more responses!

First up we have this amazing image from Nayaz Ahmed of Bangalore, who says he captured it at a friend's factory in Chennai. As he rightly pointed out, this frog is certainly more than a mouthful for the snake, which is probably why they don't mind cooling off together in the heat of summer!

Serenity of the season

Next we have this shot from Prithviraj Suryawanshi, who says, "This is a picture of the sunset in summer, near Koyna Lake in Maharashtra. It feels great to be by a lake with cool breeze after a long, hot day."

Siesta while swimming

Dayanand Bagad sent in this next photograph of himself "enjoying a lovely swim at Mekedatu near Bangalore".

A brilliant red

"I took this photo enroute to Madikeri (Coorg) in the second week of April, when the month of Vasantham had just started. All the trees were beginning to blossom," says Dayanand Bagad.

Shady refuge

And finally, we have this pic from Reetesh Chaurasia of Mumbai, who muses, "Some shade and a pot of water...What else does a wandering soul need on a scorching afternoon?"
