The mercury's rising and we hope your creativity is too -- share your unique, original photographs of the season with us!
We invited you to send in unique summer-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here is the first set of responses!
First up we have this interesting image from Ravi Raj, who says, "This was clicked on one of those beautiful summer evenings when a mynah bird was waiting for his mate in one of the tree tops."
Simply e-mail your photographs to travelpicsga@rediffmail.com (subject line: 'Unusual summer pics') -- we'll publish the most interesting ones right here on rediff.com and in India Abroad. And make sure to include a little-write up of where you clicked the snap.
Remember, the theme is summer, so your photograph has to gel with the season. Hurry and send in your entry today!
Next we have this one from Subhash Chintamaneni who explains, "This was a hot day in Southern California. We turned the water sprinkler on in the backyard and great fun followed with my son."
Debarati Dasgupta e-mailed in this photograph, mentioning that "the height of summer calls for some chilled wine in Mumbai."
Reader Arun Sonar sent in two pics -- this first was shot in the blue coastal waters of Tarkarli beach along the Maharashtra coast.
And here is Sonar's second snap, in black and white, of a parched tree against a scorching summer sky in Vetal Tekdi, Pune.
