Unusual summer pics: Flying on by!
We invited you to send in unique summer-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here are a few more responses!
First up we have this interesting image of the London Eye from Palekar Jawed Ahmad Shafi, who says, "Here is a photo taken by me during my official visit to London last summer." That plane looks a little too close for comfort!

The red cherry
This next one was sent in by Mohan Raghavan, who explains, "This photo was taken from Sunset Point in Mahabaleshwar. It was nearing sunset time and the sun appeared like a cherry amidst the foliage."
The wild Sahara
Saravana Goteti sent in this photograph, saying, "This was taken in Libya on the way to the Sahara Desert on a summer day. This is 100 kms into the Sahara Desert, before the sand dunes are visible."
