We invited you to send in unique summer-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here are a few more responses!
First up we have this image from regular contributor Prasun Sanyal of New Delhi, who says, "Summer gets everyone, big or small, feeling hot and thirsty. This elephant pair in Delhi Zoo were cooling themselves by drinking and splashing water onto their bodies."
Share your interesting summer snapshots with us! They could be from anywhere across India or the world, but they have to be original.
Simply e-mail your photographs to travelpicsga@rediffmail.com (subject line: 'Unusual summer pics') -- we'll publish the most interesting ones on rediff.com and in India Abroad. And make sure to include a little-write up of where you clicked the snap.
Remember, the theme is summer, so your photograph has to gel with the season. Hurry and send in your entry today!

Next we have this photograph from Anand Kumar, who explains, "This picture was taken at dusk in Jaisalmer, with my wife standing on top of a sand dune. The fading light from the sunset and the glowing of the crescent moon high up in the sky completed the setting."
Vikas D Parushetti contributed this pic stating, "This was taken when I was visiting Bijapur in Karnataka for a friend's engagement. In my free time, I visited the beautiful ruins of Bara Kaman (the unfinished mausoleum of Ali Adil Shah II)."
"This image was captured one afternoon at Gamla Stan Island in Stockholm, Sweden," says Prasant K Senapati.
And finally, we have this one from Sowmya Badam of Bangalore, taken at Chidiya Tapu in the Andamans.
