We invited you to send in unique monsoon-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here is the first set of responses!
We received this image from Mohan Kumar Karunakaran who says, "This is one of my favorite monsoon photographs. It was taken during our trip from Delhi to Chennai by car, somewhere near Hyderabad. The climate was so chilly and it was drizzling for quite some time, but these young men didn't bother about the rain and just went on with their day-to-day work."
Share your interesting monsoon snapshots with us! They could be from anywhere across India or the world, but they have to be original.
Simply e-mail your photographs to travelpicsga@rediffmail.com (subject line: 'Unusual monsoon pics') -- we'll publish the most interesting ones on rediff.com and in India Abroad. And make sure to include a little write-up of where you clicked the snap.
Remember, the theme is the monsoons, so your photograph has to gel with the season. Hurry and send in your entry today!

Next we have this one from Swagat Tushar who explains, "This pic was taken on the way from Lansdowne to Tadkeshwar Mahadev in the monsoons last year. Lansdowne is an awesome place to visit during the rains and I am going again this coming weekend to enjoy the lush greenery."
Poonam Gupta contributed this next picture, stating, "I took this picture from my kitchen window when I was enjoying the monsoons -- this pair of pigeons was sitting on our roof."
These blooms awaiting the rain were captured by Dinesh Bhoya at Vadodara in Gujarat.
And finally, Bharat Kalyan has sent in this unusual snapshot of a rainbow on the ocean.
