We asked readers to share with us their stories of having lost their love and found it again, in a new partner. Vinita Radhakrishna writes in:
I was in an emotionally abusive relationship for three years. 'This was it. This was love,' I thought. And then he came 'my knight in shining armor'; not on a white horse but through a social networking website! We soon became friends, best friends and I shared my deepest secrets with him.
Friendship soon turned to love, and this time -- it was not emotional, not physical but real. Real love which had friendship, respect, compassion and trust. I finally had the courage to dump my ex.
He refused to let go and I went through a rough 'depression' patch for quite a while but my knight remained with me. Today, five years later, we are deep in love, successful entrepreneurs and engaged.I don't call him my 'second love', I call him the 'one and only' love of my life!
Not everyone is first-time lucky when it comes to relationships. Are you one of those people who lost love and then found it again, with a new partner? Write in to us at getahead@rediff.co.in (subject line: 'Second time love') along with a photograph of you and your current partner, if possible and we'll publish the best stories right here on rediff.com
