VOTE: Who do YOU think is India's sulkiest celebrity?

Last week, Victoria Beckham was voted the 'least fun' star personality in a UK poll. Who would you say is the sulkiest Indian celeb? Vote for one among these fitting candidates and tell us!

We all know that truly down-to-earth stars are a handful.

There are the egos, the short tempers, the media-haters, the loudmouths...the list is endless.

But undoubtedly, the celebrities who seem to make a lasting (negative) impression are the sulkers, who never manage to raise a smile and seem to suffer from a perennial case of the scowls.

Just ask Victoria Beckham, who was voted to the top of a list of the 'least fun' star personalities in the UK a few days ago -- mainly because she wears a morose expression as often as she wears designer clothes (which is everyday, all the time).

In the following pages, we bring you a few Indian grumpy-pants celebs from across entertainment, sports and politics. Vote for who YOU think is the sulkiest of them all!

Jaya Bachchan

If Big B gives the impression of being affable and good-humoured, his missus gives the exact opposite. Mrs Bachchan has a case of VictoriaBeckham-itis too -- her smiles are so rare, we don't even know if she has teeth anymore.

Lips pursed up in a permanent expression of disdain, she looks the same on the red carpet and at a funeral.

Ajay Devgn

Mr Muscles may come after us for this and we're shaking in our boots, but he certainly figures on this list!

Ajay barely ever seems in a good mood -- his expression is almost always sullen, as if he's got a permanent wedgie. Maybe wife Kajol should lend him her million-dollar smile.

Ekta Kapoor

The Balaji head honcho is a representative of strong, independent, successful, career-minded women.

And she's got the attitude to go with all of her achievements. In fact, the attitude far outweighs everything else -- read always serious (although she smiles a tad more often than Mrs Bachchan, we'll give her that).

Lighten up, Ekta. We're not looking for you to turn into a cuddly teddybear, but it's time you dropped the 'bully' and 'terror' tags.

Narendra Modi

While he's busy giving the state of Gujarat a new face, maybe the venerable CM should consider vamping up his own -- preferably with a hint of his pearly-whites.

We know politics is a serious business, but it seems only our netas believe that a scowl is a good game face. We're not asking you to grin like former Italian PM Berlusconi and make inappropriate jokes, but surely an Obama-esque smile is fine?

Mamata Banerjee

Modi is a regular Santa Claus in comparison to Didi.

If sulking had a face, the CM of Bengal would be it -- her frown is as much of a signature trademark as her white saris, frozen in place. She could well be the sourest politician in India at present.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali

The temperamental SLB is the Mamata Banerjee of Bollywood.

Genius he may be, but Bhansali isn't able to take jokes at all, and plainly seems to be missing the facial muscles required to laugh out loud.

Maybe they should name a thunder cloud after him.

Monikangana Dutta

Close on SLB's tail comes his Guzaarish muse, the dour Moni Dutta.

This sultry model has her nose so high up in the air she may have trouble breathing; and her scorn and ego far outweigh her fame.

A word of advice, dear -- the odd smile and polite reply never killed anybody, although in your case we wouldn't count on it.

Mahesh Bhupathi

This tennis ace is as surly as they come -- we'd certainly think twice before approaching him for an autograph.

Hesh, healthy aggression is strictly for the court, not for the cameras when you're off it!

Mayawati

Didi, make way for Behenji. You know you're a grumpy Gus when even statues modelled in your likeness don't offer up the hint of a pleasant expression.

We happen to have seen Mayawati's teeth and think she has a wonderful smile -- too bad it was last seen in 1972.

Gautam Gambhir

Why Gauti feels the need to live up to his surname we'll never know; all we do know is that he needs to lighten up.

More grins and less gambhir-giri, please!

Anna Hazare

If you had to go without food for days on end every couple of months, you'd be grumpy too. But since it's Annaji's own doing, we're constrained to include him in this list of Indian sourpusses.

Nevermind -- at least we know his frown is nothing that a big club sandwich couldn't fix.

Himesh Reshammiya

We understand when singers make faces when they're singing and hitting those high notes.

What we don't understand is when the faces persist once they're done.

Himeshbhai, are you listening? That 'angry young man' expression belongs to Mr Bachchan -- and even he used it only on screen, not in real life.

And finally, we come to Mr Attitude himself.

We know you think you're the cat's whiskers, Akshay -- but your scornful expression (and words) remind us of...hmmm? Another body part. You get the picture!
