It had been five years since I was working in the Gulf and was keen on getting married.
I updated my profile on shaadi.com and all other matrimonial sites.
There were many suggestions but none of whom I liked.
At times I felt that God didn't want me to get married but I believed that I would meet the person at the tight time and the right place.
Last December when I had gone to attend my brothers wedding in Mangalore, India my mother was looking out for a girl for me but nothing was working out.
Meanwhile I told a friend I wanted to get married and if she knew of someone.
She told me that her best friend was groom hunting too and she gave her my number.
Soon, we started messaging and talking to each other. After a little over a week's time we decided to meet.
When I saw her I realised that she was the one for me! She told me that she liked me and wanted to get married as well
Both our parents agreed and we got engaged on January 14 this year. On January 22, 2011 we plan to get married.
We never knew why it took us such a long time to meet because she was my friend's best friend . We love each other and are waiting for that day when we say "We DO"
