Readers share memorable pictures taken alongside their siblings. Share yours too!
We invited readers to share special brother-sister pics with us for Raksha Bandhan -- here's the first set of responses!
First up is this one from Dr Prafulla C Deka of Guwahati, Assam. He says, "This photograph of my sweet sister and me was taken in 1955. Please publish it, as the bond of love and relationship has remained for 58 years."
With Raksha Bandhan coming up this Saturday, we invite you to share your special pictures of your sibling/s and you. And do provide a short write-up alongside, telling us the story behind the photograph and why it's special to you. Send in your entries to getahead@rediff.co.in (subject line: 'Bhai-Behen Ka Rishta') and we'll publish the best entries right here on rediff.com!
Next we have this one from Rishi Bhandoo, who explains, "This is my daughter Rachael tying a rakhi to my son, her brother Reece. Though we are Christians, we celebrate Rakhi with equal respect as our other festivities."
Kanu Priya Jain e-mailed in this picture, stating, "This was taken by me on Raksha Bandhan last year at our Delhi residence. It shows my nephew and niece."
"These are our three kids -- Diya (7), Disha (5) and Aayaan (2). They are very close and we have fun watching them grow up together," say Abir and Sudipta Roy.
Menka Relhan contributed this picture of her daughter tying her son a rakhi.
And finally, Gajanan Bochare sent in this snapshot, stating, "This was taken in 2007, during our short trip to Anjangaon. Four of us brothers -- myself, Shrikant, Sachin and Nishant -- along with our dear sister Shubhangi. We hardly get time to meet each other now, but this picture brings back old memories of our bond."
