I was clicking the Empire State Building from an underground subway station at 33rd Street and Park Avenue (Manhattan, NYC, USA) when this gorgeous lady walked into the frame, holding a rose in her hand. Needless to say, her intrusion made the shot look even more beautiful," says Kris Valentine.

Beating the chill
Satyajit Chatterjee's shot of a cold winter morning.
"I saw this old couple trying to beat the chill by burning a small heap of garbage. They were not talking to each other though the profundity was evident in the scene. It made me think that the warmth of togetherness stays even beyond the time even when there is nothing to say," he says.
