This category saw a tie between Chanel Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup SPF 10, 50 Beige and M.A.C Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15, 5.0.
As with all things Chanel, the Lumiere Flawless Fluid comes at the eye-watering price of approximately Rs 6,390 for 30 ml; M.A.C's Matchmaster costs a third of that, at Rs 2,100 for 35 ml.
When it comes to hiding your flaws, the Make Up For Ever HD Concealer, 355 wins out.
It costs around Rs 2,064 a tube.
If you're looking to add a little becoming colour to your cheeks, the Estee Lauder Signature Satin Creme Blush, 04 Berry Light is the best, according to Vogue.
The pale pink shade comes in a compact and costs in the region of Rs 3,000 plus.
The smoky dark grey appeal of Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow, 85 Mirifique took the honour for best eye shadow.
At Rs 2,400 for 4 gms, it's a bit steep but should last you awhile.
The L'Oreal Paris Waterproof Gel Eyeliner, Black scored as the most sought-after eye-liner.
At Rs 750 for 2.8 gms, it comes in a little jar with a brush, and should last you a considerably long time.
The Lakme Nine to Five Kohl Ultimate -- this little pencil is supposed to be a wonder-product, a must-have for every woman.
Waterproof and accompanied by a smudge tip for the smokey eye effect, it costs Rs 620 a pop.
For long, clump-free lashes the honour went to Dior Diorshow Black Out Waterproof Mascara, 099.
The bottle costs approximately Rs 1,900 for 10 ml.
The cherry red that defines the Inglot Lipstick, 103 was much appreciated in the lipstick category.
And at Rs 550 apiece, it's one of the more economical options on the list.
When it comes to tinting the lips with both lustre and colour, however, Vogue elected the rather expensive Guerlain KissKiss Essence de Gloss, 460.
At Rs 2,400 per lip gloss, it's not exactly the slap-it-on-whenever kind!
This absolutely delicious hue -- Butter London Nail Lacquer Vernis-Snog -- was voted best nailpaint.
It doesn't seem available easily in India, although you can purchase an 11 ml bottle online for the equivalent of Rs 750 or thereabouts, plus shipping.
To sweep off your makeup at the end of the day, it apparently doesn't get better than Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover.
Again, not easily available at Clinique stores in India, it costs in the region of Rs 1,200 for a bottle online.
And finally, as bronzers go, the best is M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Dark.
At Rs 1,350 for a compact, it's a makeup essential -- it's meant to give you a natural, radiant finish without caking up.
