Yesterday, we brought you the best skincare products available in the Indian market, feted at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2012 held on August 1 in Mumbai.
Over 1,100 products were rigorously scrutinised and personally tested by an expert panel of judges, and in the following pages, we bring you the five anti-aging potions that emerged winners.
Best anti-aging day moisturiser
Intended to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, delivers moisture, improve overall texture and regenerate the look of your skin, Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream SPF 15 won in this category.
With an accompanying price tag of approximately Rs1,200 for 50g, however, it doesn't come cheap.
This award saw a tie between Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer Night and L'Oreal Paris RevitaLift Anti-Wrinkle and Firming Night Cream.
Both target the delicate skin below the eyes, promising to reduce dark circles, puffy eyes, fine lines, wrinkles and crow's feet. But while Neutrogena costs about Rs 760 for 29ml, the L'Oreal product is the same price for 50 ml, giving you more value for money.
When it comes to protecting your skin from sun damage, La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Extreme Fluid SPF 50+, priced at approximately Rs 990 for 50 ml, was voted to the top.
Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate was honoured as best serum at the Vogue Beauty Awards.
It aims to improve overall skin texture, tone and radiance by boosting collagen production and exfoliating, while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles -- and all that comes at a tag of Rs 3,900 for 50 ml.
Another anti-aging treatment targeting the eye area, Clarins Advanced Extra-Firming Eye Contour Serum was voted the best performer in this category.
Costing Rs 3,200 for 20 ml, it claims to get rid of puffiness, dark circles, lines and wrinkles, whilst protecting the under-eye area from pollutants.
