The top 10 list of people's favourite SOUNDS!
Babies laughing, rain lashing against windows, crashing waves, bacon sizzling and the glug of a glass of wine being poured are some of people's favourite sounds, a new survey has suggested.
The research, which was commissioned by Drayton Manor Theme Park, saw 2,000 people from Britain vote for the ones they enjoy most.
Here are the results!
1. Waves crashing against rocks
The study found that people love nothing more than the noise of the sea, which topped the list of fifty sounds.

2. Rain against the windows
The sound of rain lashing against a window came second.
3. Treading on snow
The sound of treading on snow came in third.
4. Babies laughing
Children laughing was found to be very pleasing to the ears.
5. Birds chirping
The sweet chirping and singing of birds was quite a hot favourite.
6. A crackling open fire
The sound of a fire burning, with its lively crackles and pops, made it to sixth position.
7. People laughing
The gaiety of people's laughter was the seventh best sound on the list.
8. Leaves crunching beneath your feet
The crispness of dry leaves under one's feet seemed a favourite with the majority.
9. A cat purring
The calling of cats was an unusual entry within the top ten.
10. Church bells in the distance
And finally, the chiming of church bells rounded off the list.
Fireworks and bacon sizzling were also found pleasing to the ears and the glug of wine being poured was irresistible to many.
The cheerful screams of people on a rollercoaster, popping bubble wrap or piercing the foil on a new jar of coffee made it to the best-loved sounds too.
"We can often get so buried in our day-to-day lives that we don't appreciate the little things in life, so it's good to see that there are certain sounds we all enjoy," the Telegraph quoted Helen Pawley, General Manager at Drayton Manor, as saying.
"Many of the most popular noises aren't just nice sounds in themselves, but evoke memories of good times or the anticipation of something good to come.
"Everyone has a memory of a day out or trip to the seaside which can be conjured up by certain sounds, while laughter, whether in adults or children, clearly is infectious and good to see in the top ten."
"The things we hear build atmosphere and emotion as strongly as any other sense, and that shared sense of excitement that comes from a football match, theme park or stadium is a big part of any memorable experience," she added.
