S/he is easy to spot... usually found at the library, or with a book under a tree or in the teachers' common room picking someone's brains about why E=MC2.
This is the person you should also be friends with right from the start because s/he is the only person in the entire college who would have attended all lectures and will have all the notes.

Never in the class, always by his Mercediss/Odddie/BMW!
(Prefers BMW because that's the only name he can pronounce correctly.)

3. Teacher's Pet
Need not be a nerd but will always agree with what the teacher says.
Will look for opportunities to stand on top of the desk and say: "O Captain! My Captain!"
