So you're in your 30s? Here's a list of things you mustn't do.

Crossed over to the wrong side of the 30s? Here are a few things you shouldn't be doing.

If you related to this list, there is a good chance you're in your 30s now.

And having crossed the big three oh, there are some things that you probably know you shouldn't do… but always wanted someone to spell them out for you.

1. Binge drinking

What was your worst hangover ever?

Remember the times you had only heard of that silly thing called the 'hangover'?

In your 30s, you get to spend a good few hours or the whole day with it sometimes.

So binge drinking? Good if you like hangovers. Bad if you don't.

2. Clubbing on a weeknight

This one -- and you would have figured it out -- is an extension of point number one.

So unless you like showing up to work the next morning looking like you've been run over by a truck, clubbing on a weeknight may not be such a good idea.

3. Avoiding the doctor

Most of us are medical marvels in our 20s.

You've probably visited your doctor no more than three times in your 20s...

In your 30s, avoid the doctor at your own peril.

Pulled a muscle? Or twisted your ankle? Get it seen to ASAP. You won't regret it.

Chances are you are in a respectable job.

Chances are that your job requires you to dress decently.

And surely you get at least a day off every week?

6. Blowing up cash

Save up. You never now when you'll need it!

Alright so you may not want to 'settle down' just yet.

But the truth is you aren't getting younger and money isn't always going to be for recreation.

There will be unforeseen situations... in your own life or in the lives of your parents... when you will be required to fork out cash at the drop of a hat.

We'd say, better be prepared than sorry.

8. Dating idiots

While this applies to people of all age groups, it is perhaps truest for those of us in our 30s.

You should have ideally kissed all the frogs in your 20s to know the idiots from the genuine people.

If you're smiling while reading this, you know you've tried this before.

Your metabolism slows down in your 30s and losing weight isn't as easy as it seems.

Your younger colleagues look prettier, sexier, handsomer as you begin losing hair and gaining weight.

So what do you do? Hit the gym and begin pumping iron on Day 1!

Bad, bad idea!

(But again, if you've done it, you probably know it already :-P)

10. Not travelling

Explore the world! It's not too late!

You should have had some money saved up by now to travel beyond you neighbourhood weekend destination.

Few things widen your horizons like travelling.

You are also not too old to not backpack and rough it out.

So what are you waiting for? Explore a new country or travel to even a distant part of our own country.

Go forth! Travel! You won't regret it.
