Sarah Jane Dias tells you how to lose weight

We caught up with former beauty queen Sarah Jane Dias at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week.

The model was happy to oblige us with tips on how to stay healthy and fit.

Femina Miss India 2007 Sarah Jane Dias has a body to die for.

The 31-year-old supermodel who will be seen in Farah Khan's next titled Happy New Year believes that proper exercise and water are essential requirements to a healthy and happy body.

Please describe the outfit you're wearing today.

I am wearing a beautiful bridal outfit designed by Manish Malhotra.

It is pink and it's got a yellow gold border and Kashmiri work all over it, which is very typical of Manish's collections.

It truly makes me feel very royal and regal and like a bride!

How do you stay fit?

My most favourite fitness mantra is to drink litres and litres of water and to eat at least two portions of fruit every day.

Unlike what people might think, I eat sweets and fried food. But I do it in moderation.

I think for girls in particular it is very important that they feed their mind because the minute you go on a strict diet, you then don't lose any weight. 

What is the secret of your glowing skin?

If you have a fitness regime at least three to four times a week, your skin will automatically take care of itself.

What are the three things you wish you had done in your teens?

I wish I had gone to Everest Base Camp.

I wish I had started scuba diving.

I wish I had polished my French skills.
