We burn a lot of energy during the summer season. Hence it is important to increase our energy levels by choosing a healthy diet.
Here is the list of foods to be taken in the summer months along with foods that can be avoided in the season to stay healthy and wise.

Foods to avoid in summer
Non-vegetarian, sweets, pulses, medicines, fried food, coffee, paratha and pickle
Foods to be taken in very less amount
Dry fruits: quantity of dry fruit should not be much. You can take 4 almonds, 4 cashews and around 15-20 kishmish in a day
Only one cup of milk in a day is recommended
2-3 chapatis per day
A diet with only solid food is harmful in the summer season as it increases thirst and it is also difficult to digest.
Foods to eat during the summer season
Liquid diet includes nariyal pani, sugarcane juice, lassi, buttermilk, fruit juice, vegetable juice, lemon water
Boiled vegetables with little spices
Sprouts
Fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, pineapple, cucumber, chickoo, papaya, pomegranate, mango are the best fruits to be consumed in the season.
More liquids should be taken during the summer months as this will reduce thirst and keep you hydrated. As much as possible have a natural diet that will keep your energy levels high.
Diet plan for the season
Have a glass of lemon juice with 2 teaspoons of honey or plain lemon juice early in the morning.
Breakfast: Lassi or butter milk with some seasonal fruits.
Your lunch should be 50 percent salad, 25 percent vegetables and 20 percent sprouts with one or two chapattis.
Between lunch and dinner: Fruit juice or fruits at around 4 pm.
Dinner: Keep your diet same as lunch but try to avoid chapattis. Chapattis can be replaced by idli at dinner.
Any type of cold drinks, lemon juice, fruit juices, lassi, etc are harmful for health after dinner. If you have this habit change it as it is not good for any season.
