Welcome to the weekly fashion round-up, where we bring you the latest on supermodels, style, designers and everything in-between!
Which pop princess works out in the wee hours to preserve her fabulous curves? Which supermodel is now flying high as the face of an airline?
Here's the lowdown on the latest fashion news!
Size 6 becomes plus size in today's fashion world
Runway models are getting thinner with most of them meeting the physical criteria for anorexia, according to a report.
Plus model magazine has said that size 6 has now become plus size in the fashion world.
The magazine has come up with an appalling report in its January issue, offering shocking insight into the disparity between models and the real-life women they are purporting to represent.
The latest issue has plus size model Katya Zharkova and a straight size model in the nude in an attempt to open the minds of the fashion industry, which is stepping further away from reality, according to Plus founder and editor-in-chief, Madeline Figueroa Jones, Fox News reported.
The magazine has revealed that some of today's plus size models are sporting the same size as models Christie Brinkley, Paulina Porizkova and Cindy Crawford at the height of their fame in the 1990s.
The 28-year-ol Zharkova wears a size 14.
The photographs appear alongside statistics about today's sometimes dangerously thin straight size models and the continuously shrinking frames of plus size models.
One of the revelations made in the magazine is that twenty years ago the average fashion model weighed 8 percent less than the average woman.
Olivia Munn has become the latest celebrity to bare all for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
In her first nude photoshoot, the 31-year-old actress poses au naturel next to a fluffy bunny for the animal activists' latest 'I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur' billboard.
Munn has also filmed a video exposing the Chinese fur industry.
"As a proud person of Chinese descent, it broke my heart to learn just how terribly animals suffer and die on Chinese fur farms and that there are no penalties for this abuse," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
Munn is the latest in a long line of beauties who have stripped for PETA's anti-fur campaign, including George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis and Taraji P Henson.
Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster has revealed how she got her figure back after giving birth to her second child.
Almost a year after giving birth to Aiden, a brother for six-year-old Alistair, the 40-year-old model has shed nearly all of her baby weight.
She began her fitness campaign in September, weighing 12 and a half stone.
"My goal is to have lost 20lbs by the time Aiden is one in the middle of next month," the Mirror quoted her as saying.
"And I'm getting there. By the beginning of December, I'd lost 10lbs, slowly and steadily, which meant I was halfway there," she said.
While pregnant with Aiden, Penny tipped the scales at 15 stone.
But, of course, a lot of that was baby, and she started losing the extra weight as soon as he was born.
"I breast-fed him for seven months which helped the weight drop off," she claimed.
Lancaster found that motherhood and fitness were a tough combination, so she took her time before starting to get her figure back.
It was only after seven months of enjoying bonding with her baby that she decided to go back to the gym, under the instruction of personal trainer Gary O'Connor.
She also stuck to a balanced diet and took to drinking a type of green tea called Cho Yung.
"What impressed me about the tea was that all its ingredients were natural. No chemicals were involved, and it was mild. I also liked the fact you don't need to add milk and sugar, unlike with the breakfast tea I normally drank. What's more, it cleanses your liver and speeds up your metabolism, the equivalent of a detox. Because I felt I'd flushed out all the toxins, it meant I wasn't tempted to order chips, for instance."
Initially, on her regime, she didn't lose any weight because she was just toning up.
"It took a few weeks of gaining muscle and then getting toned before my weight started gradually to reduce."
"More importantly, after 10 weeks, I'd also lost two and a half inches from my waist," she added.
She currently exercises for an hour three times a week, but is planning to increase that to four sessions.
Madonna has revealed that she was scolded by her stylish teenager daughter, Lourdes, for the outfit she was planning to wear to the recent red carpet premiere of her film W.E.
The 53-year-old pop superstar, who runs a clothing line with the fashionable teen, stated that she was feeling "fun and frivolous" as she dressed for the screening, but her daughter felt the outfit she chose was "inappropriate".
"I put on this great beaded and jewelled Dolce & Gabbana corset...and fishnets and I put a cape on and she came into my dressing room and she's like, 'Mom, what are you doing...? That's not director. Take it off. Take if off. Inappropriate,'" Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"I was like, 'Really...?' She was right. I changed and I actually put on a better outfit and I liked it," she added.
Kim Kardashian, along with the rest of the Kardashian family, may be losing popularity -- the clan are reportedly not the sought-after celebrities they once were.
From nosediving ratings for Keeping Up with the Kardashians to tanking sales of magazines featuring them, it appears the obsession over the family is ending fast.
According to the New York Post, anything featuring the raven-haired reality show clan is turning "absolutely toxic".
Kim Kardashain was once paid upwards of 600,000 dollars just to appear at a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas, and she and sister Khloe were often sought-after -- and incredibly well-compensated -- party guests the world over.
But now party promoters aren't so keen anymore, with some saying that Kim would be 'crushing' to them.
"I'd pay her 600,000 dollars personally not to go to Red Egg...Kim Kardashian would be crushing to us," ABC News quoted Travis Bass, co-owner of the New York City nightspot, as telling the New York Post.
R Couri Hay, a publicist who's worked with the Kardashians in years past, said that he's 'bored with them' and can't imagine promoting 'Kim Kardashian and her clunky sisters again'.
The paper reports that circulation for the gossip magazines that were once Kardashian strongholds -- Us Weekly, In Touch, Life & Style and OK! -- dropped nearly 18 percent in December when any member of the family graced their covers.
It also points out that Kim was dropped by sneaker-maker Sketchers in 2011, and 'replaced her with a French bulldog'.
Thandie Newton has said that she'll never go under the knife, as she doesn't want to lose the ability to express herself.
The Crash star will be turning 40 in November this year but she's not worried about the ageing process, as her favourite actresses have all shunned the plastic surgery trend.
"I'll be 40 this year, but honestly would not consider surgery; all my beauty icons are women with expressive faces," the Daily Express quoted her as telling Hello! Magazine.
"Isabelle Huppert ages so beautifully and gracefully, as have Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. I am struck by their expressive beauty," she said.
Kelly Brook has attributed 'plenty of sex', as the secret behind her envious figure.
According to New! Magazine, the playboy model, who is dating former rugby player Thom Evans says that sex 'is a great cardio workout'.
"My secret to instant sex appeal is confidence and being with someone who makes you feel like you're the only girl in the world," the Mirror quoted Brook as saying.
"In bed I wear just my signature scent Fracas."
"I wear Victoria's Secret bras, have Cosabella thongs in every colour and I've collected Agent Provocateur lingerie since I was 19."
"I don't like minimiser bras. I think girls should embrace their curves -- push 'em up, I say!" she added.
The 32-year-old glamour model also revealed that had she maintained her focus on one thing rather than trying her hand at everything from modelling to presenting and designing, she would have had an acting career like Kate Winslet.
Kelly has made her mark in Hollywood in films like Piranha 3D and stars in the upcoming Keith Lemon movie.
"I often think if I had been better at focusing on one thing exclusively I'd have had an acting career like Kate Winslet or a career as a top dancer," the Daily Mail quoted her as telling The Telegraph.
"In many ways I've gone with what people want me to do, rather than what I want to do. I am changing that now."
For now, Miss Brook is happy to discuss her lingerie range, which she reveals she designed with curvy girls in mind.
She even lashed out at celebrities who boast about having plastic surgery -- saying she loves her own boobs and bum.
"I can't bear the fact that girls these days think you have to be thin to be beautiful and successful," she said.
"I'm not thin. I don't starve myself. I don't look at my face and body and think I need surgery or a boob job or a bum lift."
"It makes me very angry when women in the public eye talk about what work they've had done, because it makes other women feel devalued," she added.
Glamorous couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt clearly emerged red carpet style winners at the 69th Annual Golden Globes held on Sunday.
They may have lost out on awards, but the duo looked stunning in their alluring attire.
Jolie sported a graceful floor-length cream satin gown by Atelier Versace, which had a side slit that cut up to her thigh.
The asymmetric dress had a red fold across the chest, which the 36-year-old matched with a miniature clutch bag and some bright pillarbox lipstick, the Daily Mail reported.
The remarkable cut of the dress flaunted Jolie's tiny frame thanks to its structured top, ruching at the waist and flowing skirt.
She also tied back her brunette locks in a stylish bun and slipped some cream peep-toe high heels onto her feet to complete the spectacular look.
On the other hand, perfectly complementing Jolie's look, Pitt, 48, sported a classic tuxedo by Tom Ford, with satin lapels and a bow tie for the star-studded event.
Miranda Kerr has been chosen to become the new face of Qantas Airways.
The Victoria's Secret model will attend the Qantas Spirit of Australia event in Los Angeles to mark her new role.
Kerr said she was 'honoured' to have been chosen as the brand ambassador for the airline.
"I grew up with Qantas, which is such an iconic Australian brand. I'm proud of my Australian heritage and I'm so excited that I will now be able to represent Australia's premium airline around the world," News.com.au quoted her as saying.
"I travel frequently and from the moment I step onboard a Qantas flight I feel at home," she said.
Qantas boss Alan Joyce said he was delighted to welcome Kerr aboard.
"Miranda Kerr is one of the most photographed and recognisable people in the world," he said.
Popular British fashion label French Connection has given Lindsay Lohan a much-needed career boost by using a photograph of the actress in an ad for its new fragrance, FCUK Friction.
With an acting career in the doldrums since her release from jail, the troubled star's attempts to restore her image by posing for fashion campaigns have so far continued to underwhelm.
Determined to prove that she is still a sought-after celebrity endorsement, Hollywood's most notorious young actress has appeared recently in ads for little-known brands Philipp Plein and Jag Jeans.
The steamy FCUK shot, which sees the actress frolic in bed with model Petey Wright, was taken by Yu Tsai, the photographer behind her famous Playboy cover at the end of last year.
But the picture was not originally taken with the FCUK Friction fragrance campaign in mind.
The label bought the rights to the black-and-white shot after it ran as part of a photo story in Muse Magazine in 2010.
The original editorial, inspired by the dramatic and debauched relationship between Kate Moss and Johnny Depp in the '90s, featured Lohan with Wright and another model in a hotel room.
"The three of them were very sensual and provocative, but Lindsay understands this piece was created not for any sensational value other than artistic integrity," the Daily Mail quoted Tsai as telling the New York Post.
"There was never a discussion about pushing the boundaries."
"She was totally comfortable with the nudity as long as it had artistic integrity," he added.
Apparently, Tsai was so impressed with the 25-year-old star in the shoots for Muse and Playboy that he secured the Jag Jeans campaign on her behalf.
Despite the fact that the photograph is old news, the sizzling new FCUK Friction campaign will no doubt keep Lohan in the press if nothing else does.
Rihanna enjoys working out at 2 am and has her fitness expert on call at any time of the day, in case she wants to train.
Exercise guru Ary Nunez revealed that the Bajan beauty, who she has been working with for four years, is very dedicated to maintain her trim figure and toned shape.
"Working with an artist like Rihanna has different demands than most," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Shape Magazine.
"We train when she's ready...even if we're on the road and it's 2 am in the morning. I'm on call 24/7 with her," she said.
Nunez also revealed that the brunette singer exercises because she "loves it", rather than finding it necessary.
"Rihanna is so connected to her body. She used to work out because it was part of her responsibility, but now she works out because she loves it."
"We focus on the core muscles, and we do a ton of repetitions," she added.
Jennifer Hudson has revealed that she is still trying to figure out how to dress her new figure.
The singer-actress has lost over 80lbs in the past two years and while she has developed a new love for fashion, she still can't decide on what look she wants to go for.
"I just love fashion now. It's so much more flexible, and there are so many more options out there now. I feel like my own little Barbie doll -- I get to dress myself up. I hated heels before, but that's all I wear now," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Stylelist.
"But because it's a new body, I'm trying to find out, how do I want to be perceived? Who is this new me? I knew how to be the big girl, but now I have to find out how to be this girl," she said.
Kristen Stewart has been revealed as the face for Balenciaga's new perfume, which is to be launched this autumn.
Hot on the heels of her sartorial slam-dunk in her promotional tour for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One, where she upgraded from moody teenager to bonafide Hollywood starlet by breaking out the J Mendel sequins, Stewart has been announced as muse to Creative Director Nicholas Ghesquiere.
"Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence," the Telegraph quoted Ghesquiere as saying.
"From her early appearance in Panic Room to her independent choice of Welcome to the Rileys, I've always sensed her progressive character."
"In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber."
"Since then, I've always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga," he said.
The 21-year-old actress has eschewed red carpet glamour in previous years, opting for Converse plimsolls rather than the sky-high heels favoured by her celebrity contemporaries, but it transpires that she has always had a soft spot for the fragrance brand.
"Balenciaga has always stood out to me," she told WWD.
"Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognised and loved Balenciaga."
"It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now."
"The brand is just cool. That's the way it is. I feel drawn to it."
"It provokes on a number of levels. It isn't afraid or contrived."
"It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable," she added.
Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American fragrances for Coty Prestige, referenced Kristen's "elegant modernity and innate rebel style" as the qualities which make her a natural match for the Balenciaga brand.
Nicole Richie has admitted that she is obsessed with well-tailored blazers and coats.
The 30-year-old television personality also stated that along with this passion, her top tip for dressing well is to buy accessories.
"I would always choose accessories because they can really change up an outfit. You can wear jeans and a tee-shirt and throw on a different pair of shoes and it really changes the entire outfit," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Fab Flash.
And when it comes to dressing tips, the boho-chic designer is all about a great blazer. "I love to buy jackets. I love to buy coats. I bought a great Helmut Lang black blazer and I wore it, you know, I wore it every day," she said.
