Which sexy star is redefining what it means to be 'sexy'? Who is Britain's best-dressed woman? Here's the lowdown on the latest fashion news!
Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has revealed that she had to share showers with her sisters when she was growing up, because her family was poor.
The 31-year-old model further revealed that they were six sisters in the family, who used to stay in a two-bedroom house. So, often in a bid to save time and energy, they used to wash together.
"We slept in bunk beds and every time anyone wanted a shower, it was like, me first, me first! Sometimes my sisters and I would share one together to save time," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Vogue magazine.
Bundchen insists that she is still extremely close with her siblings and parents and loves taking vacations with the entire family.
"Family, for me, is my base. I'm so grateful for that. I really feel that if I did not have that foundation when I was 16, I wouldn't have dared to leave.
"Every year we have a family holiday, all of us together - my sisters, my parents, my sisters' husbands and children. It's kind of a sacred time," she added. (ANI)
Salman Rushdie has taken to Twitter to mock the doomed marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.
The 64-year-old Satanic Verses novelist also tweeted his inspiration was that he was challenged and he "can't resist a challenge".
"The marriage of poor kim (pound)kardashian was krushed like a kar in a krashian," the New York Daily News quoted him as tweeting.
"Her kris kried, not fair! why kan't I keep my share?
"But kardashian fell klean outa fashian," he added. (ANI)
Paris Hilton is going through her extensive clothing collection to find outfits she no longer wears and donate them to charity.
The 30-year-old socialite recently tweeted that she is clearing out her closet to raise money for good causes.
"At home going thru (though) my closets, so I can donate my clothes to charity. Feels good to give back," Contactmusic quoted her as writing on her Twitter page.
Dita Von Teese has redefined sexy in her own way and given her feminist critics a message too.
The 39-year-old burlesque model recently spoke on sex, books, feminism and why sexiness in a woman has nothing to do with men, and also gave a few tips on looking uniquely beautiful.
'Being sexy is not about what men want, or how young you are or how your body looks or how much money you have,' the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Von Teese as saying.
'It's a certain inner confidence, a comfort level when you've learned something about yourself, what makes you happy...'
And the fact that 80 per cent of her show tickets are bought by women, thrills Von Teese.
'I say to those who say I'm anti-feminist, 'How can you say that when my audience is overwhelmingly female? You can't say that what I do is just for the pleasure of men and I'm being exploited.'"
'I don't fit into most of the modern stereotypes of what beauty is,' she
'Look at the cover of Sports Illustrated," she said.
'That idea of creating glamour and beauty interests me more, of working hard to achieve something you were not born with. Then it becomes more special.'
'This is what my female fan-base discovers, that you don't have to be skinny-skinny to be sexy, you don't have to be born with it, you can get in the spirit of what I'm on about with a radical game of dress-ups. Set your hair in curlers, put on some red lipstick ... see what it's like to feel unique,' she added.
A black corset that was worn by Madonna on her 1987 Who's That Girl Tour has been sold for 45,000 pounds.
The Material Girl wore the tasselled black and cold creation at gigs during her world trek, and a fan in China bid 41,800 pounds over the 3,125-pound expected price at the sale held by Julien's Auctions over the weekend, reports the Daily Express.
The costume was designed by Los Angeles label Trashy Lingerie, and was made especially for Madonna's concerts.
A signed copy of the singer's famed sex book also sold at the auction for 2,000 pounds.
PETA has slammed Reese Witherspoon for carrying a python skin purse.
The Water For Elephants star, who was nominated as 'World's Sexiest Vegetarian' in 2005 by PETA, has been spotted several times in Los Angeles carrying a Chloe Paraty python and leather purse.
The 35-year-old star did not buy the bag in California as the popular snakeskin has been banned there from sale since 1970.
"No matter how much Reese paid for that bag, the animals paid a much higher price," Radar Online quoted Nicole Dao, Media Liaison for the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) as saying.
"We can't imagine that she'd wish to contribute to this hidden suffering, especially for something as frivolous as a fashion accessory that can be replicated with no bloodshed," she added.
Leona Lewis is challenging aspiring designers to create a stage outfit for her to rival Stella McCartney.
The stunning X Factor winner is looking for a designer, to create an ethically friendly ensemble, in line with her love for animals.
Lewis has teamed up with Talenthouse, which has previously worked with Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake and Queen, to announce the competition where young designers can submit their ideas, with the winner receiving worldwide exposure for their design plus a cash prize of $1,500.
"I love fashion, creativity and designing my own outfits. I can't wait to see what people come up with. I think it's really important to support creative individuals and the future names of tomorrow,' Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"I'm passionate about animal welfare and everything I wear always holds true to this -- we want to find the next Stella McCartney out there! I'm really happy to be teaming up with Talenthouse to make this special competition work. Good luck everybody," she added.
The two runners up will also get an opportunity to feature their designs across her website and social media sites in addition to receiving $350 each.
Natasha Bedingfield has revealed that she has learnt to appreciate her curves without having to starve herself.
The 29-year-old Brit singer admitted that she has battled lots of insecurities as a young girl.
"I have never had a stick-thin model, size-zero body. I definitely battled a lot of insecurities as a young girl," People.com quoted her as saying at last week's Dove Movement for Self-Esteem kickoff event.
"The pressure on singers is 100-fold ... but I decided not to starve myself to try and fit into the mold," she added.
Bedingfield said that the Dove ads featuring women of all sizes proudly showing off their bodies, helped her accept and love her curvy figure.
Fashion experts from the UK edition of American fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar have crowned the Duchess of Cambridge as the best-dressed woman of Britain in 2011.
The judges were told to choose 20 women who represented British style and Kate headed the list that included Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, actresses Andrea Riseborough, Keira Knightley and Tilda Swinton, model Kate Moss, Prime Minister David Cameron's wife Samantha and fashion designer Stella McCartney.
The 29-year-old had, however, told aides that she didn't want to be seen as a mere 'clothes horse,' the Daily Express reported.
"Catherine's incredible style evolution has gripped us all," the panel of judges said.
A Global Language Monitor survey in August had said that London had overtaken New York as the world's fashion capital for 2011 and the Will-Kate royal wedding had a big role to play in this.
"She gave us the year's, if not the century's, most thrilling fashion moment," said Lucy Yeomans, editor of the Harper's Bazaar.
