Jennifer Hawkins reveals secret keys to her perfect bikini body
Jennifer Hawkins has revealed that no booze, regular boxing and Pilates classes, a salt-free diet and plenty of water are the keys to a perfect bikini body.
The former Miss Universe, who showed off her curves while shooting her new 'Cozi by Jennifer Hawkins' bikini collection on a remote West Australian beach, said that she sticks to a very strict diet and exercise regime to get the perfect shape.
"I laid off alcohol for three weeks and I feel good for that," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.
"I always am quite healthy but I like to have a glass of wine every now and again."
"I have a new (personal) trainer, so that has been really fun, to do something different. I've been boxing and doing weight training and doing lots of repetitions. I've also been doing yoga and Pilates," she stated.
Hawkins, 27, also said that she had to put an extra emphasis on toning her mid-section before the shoot.
"I amp up work on my core section. I definitely make sure I do a lot of ab (abdominal) work and I lay off salt. You have just got to think about what you eat and be sensible," she revealed.
"People say no carbs, but I say low carbs. I find my energy levels are really bad (with no carbs)."
"And drinking water, so much water, that is the key to good skin," she added.
Rihanna may be known for her raunchy outfits, but is now looking to prove that she can look even classier in sophisticated dresses.
The Love The way You Lie hitmaker posed in a series of striking vintage inspired dresses for this month's Glamour Magazine, reports the Daily Mail.
The 23-year-old singer looked chic and classy in the evening-style wear, all of which cover her assets more than usual.
While one image showed the star lying on a bed in a below-the-knee green Marc Jacobs dress teamed with Christian Louboutin shoes, in another shot she was clad in a calf-length black and teal lace Vionnet dress holding an old-fashioned microphone in front of a band.
Other snaps saw her in a dramatic black jumpsuit and oversized Yves St Laurent white coat, along with a backless Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo and sequinned trousers on the cover.
Meanwhile, the singer has admitted in an accompanying interview that she likes to shock with her outrageous choice of outfits.
"Getting dressed, I want to pick the most bizarre pair of shorts so I can figure out how to make it look right, or work an outfit that will make people go, 'What the hell is she wearing?'" she said.
RiRi is good friends with fellow pop starlet Katy Perry and she admitted it was the Friday Night hitmaker's style as well as her personality that first caught her attention.
"All my friends are guys, to be completely honest. But when I met her, it was such a breath of fresh air. I just couldn't believe this chick had no edit button. Katy and Lady Gaga came out of the gate exactly the way they think, the way they wanna dress, the way they wanna speak," she added.
Reality star Audrina Patridge has said that she hopes her dad is not mad at her, after a semi-nude photo of hers emerged on the Internet.
Patridge, 26, follows in the footsteps of celebrity models Kristin Cavallari, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie, and Rachel Bilson, in doing the photoshoot for Bongo's new fall TV and print campaign.
But while she looks confident in the sexy new campaign, she recently expressed her concerns over how her family will react.
"Omg, a topless photo of me has surfaced on the Web! I hope my dad's not mad!" the New York Daily News quoted her as tweeting.
The brunette bombshell, who has been the fashion company's spokesmodel for the past two years, also donned a variety of animal prints, sequin shorts and curve-hugging jeans from the junior brand.
This is the first time Patridge will appear in television commercials for Bongo, which is exclusively sold nationwide at Kmart and Sears. The ads will begin airing in late summer, and the print campaign will debut this fall in fashion, lifestyle and entertainment magazines.
The L'Oreal advert featuring actress Julia Roberts has been banned by the Advertising Standards Agency over complaints that it was airbrushed in order to mislead.
The complaints were brought by Lib-Dem MP Jo Swinson, who argued that airbrushing creates a false impression of beauty, reports the Daily Mail.
She claims the results put pressure on women and young girls who compare themselves unfavourably to the unrealistic images.
The Julia Roberts ad showed the actress in a two-page magazine spread for Teint Miracle foundation by Lancome, one of L'Oreal's makeup brands.
The ad claimed the foundation 'recreates the aura of perfect skin'.
The brand claimed the product was the result of 10 years of research and suggested the science was the subject of seven patent applications.
L'Oreal admitted that certain "post production" techniques had been used on the image of the actress. But it insisted the picture was an accurate representation of her "naturally healthy and glowing skin".
Rumours suggesting Miranda Kerr was launching a movie career have been scrapped, as now it has emerged that she is joining the upcoming series Project Runway All-Stars as a guest judge.
Rumours spread that she was set to start her Hollywood career after she was spotted with movie mogul Harvey Weinstein in New York last week.
But now it is confirmed that the meeting was for the show, where Kerr will appear alongside Weinstein's wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The deal might have been struck after show host Heidi Klum and Kerr went on a jog together last week.
Beyonce's fashion line, House of Dereon, is set to be launched for the first time in London at Selfridges in September.
It has been named after the singer's grandmother, the late Agnez Dereon, who was born in Louisiana in 1924.
Dereon was a dressmaker who made custom-made clothing for private clients throughout the South and is described by Beyonce and her mother as "a true Renaissance woman".
The look for the House of Dereon autumn/winter 2011 collection is inspired by their idea of a "city jungle" with leopard, snake and African rose prints, which blend "tribal cues with edgy silhouettes", and prices start at around 80 pounds for a dress.
"The combination of colours, exotic prints and silhouettes make for a cohesive collection with tremendous appeal," the Telegraph quoted Tina Knowles as saying.
"Beyonce and I are so proud of the line-up and we can't wait to see the consumer's response and how she makes it her own," she stated.
British street fashion company Fred Perry has revealed that they are considering the release of clothes that had been designed by late Amy Winehouse.
The Back To Black singer had been working closely with the company on a series of designs before her tragic death, and had already put out two successful collections for the brand.
And in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, the troubled singer revealed that three more collections of the Fred Perry x Amy Winehouse line had been completed, taking the collaboration through to Autumn/Winter 2012.
While fans are calling for Fred Perry to release the collections already designed by the late singer, it could however prove distressing for her grieving family.
And it is a sensitive matter for the company, who has not yet decided how to proceed.
"Everything is on hold until we speak with Amy's family and management," the Daily Mail quoted the company as saying.
Drew Barrymore has been chosen as the next face of Neiman Marcus, the Texas-based department store chain.
The 36-year-old American actress will star in Norman Marcus' Art of Fashion ad campaign based on her beauty, style and link to Hollywood's Golden Age.
"The team at Neiman Marcus wanted to evolve the Art of Fashion by pairing up with a celebrated face and photographer," the New York Daily News quoted Eddie Nunns, vice-president of Neiman Marcus Brand Creative as saying.
"We felt that Drew Barrymore possessed not only the pedigree and glamour of old Hollywood, but also the confidence and spirit of the modern-day woman -- much like Neiman Marcus itself," he added.
Model Elle Macpherson has been named the celebrity mum most admired by other women in a recent poll.
The 48-year-old single mother-of-two is closely followed by Myleene Klass, who is also a mother-of-two and Victoria Beckham, who recently expanded her brood to four, reports the Daily Mail.
Unsurprisingly Macpherson who is often referred to as 'The Body' for her svelte figure was also deemed the most desirable mother by men who took part in the survey.
She has two sons with her former longterm boyfriend, French millionaire Arpad Busson -- Arpad Flynn, 13, and Aurelius Cy, eight.
On motherhood she said recently: "I'm very busy -- sometimes I pay less attention to myself than others -- but that's how it goes being a working mother."
"I have two beautiful boys and one of them is almost a teenager...He's so tall and handsome."
'They're interesting boys, they are charismatic, sensitive and intelligent and of course, every parent thinks their children are amazing."
Working or not, she often looks like she's just stepped off the catwalk.
"Neither Claudia (Schiffer) nor I dress for the school run, but there just happen to be about 20 photographers outside the school each day."
"The kids get really, really embarrassed. But it is part and parcel of this job and I try to make the most of it," she added.
Kim Kardashian fears that her career is over after having been diagnosed with psoriasis during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The reality star developed the red rash, first on her legs, then all over her body.
Kardashian was panic-stricken after researching the condition on the Internet and realising that her entire body could end up covered in the painful patches.
"My career is doing ad campaigns and swimsuit photo shoots. People don't understand the pressure on me to look perfect'," the Daily Mail quoted the 30-year-old as saying.
"When I gain a pound, it's in the headlines. Imagine what the tabloids would do to me if they saw all these spots?" she said.
The hereditary disease was passed down to the reality star from her mother Kris Jenner.
Despite this setback, however, with less than a month to go for her much-publicised wedding to NBA player Kris Humphries, Kim seems to be working hard to maintain her stunning figure and is more careful about what she eats.
The socialite is famous for her womanly curves and admits that her love of food means she has to work out very regularly to stop her from gaining weight, which isn't always easy.
"I love to eat, but I also love to work out, so hopefully they cancel each other out. If I need to get in shape for a photo shoot or to get back into my bikini, I cut back on processed foods and carbs for two weeks," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Britain's Hello! Magazine.
"I have always been curvy and for a long time I've been doing a class in West Hollywood called Barry's Bootcamp. But recently I started working out with Tracy Anderson. It looks really easy but is really hard work," she said.
"After 12 weeks working out with her, I really saw a difference. But it's hard because I really love food and have a really sweet tooth. My weakness is ice cream and frozen yoghurt," she added.
Actress Jessica Biel has revealed the secret to her curvy body and she says it's all down to the fact that she does not have a social life.
Biel, 29, who was at Comic-Con, revealed that unlike other celebrities, who dole out money for special trainers and personal chefs, she just stops having a life.
"I have no life. I spend a lot time in yoga class," Fox News quoted her as saying.
The actress, who stars in sci-fi action thriller Total Recall, also revealed that she has a new big gun to shoot with on the set.
"I shoot an incredible gun, but I can't say too much, because it's special and new. And we were just driving some incredible cars that look amazing," she said.
After successfully posing in lingerie countless times over the years, Pamela Anderson has now ventured into designing a range of stockings.
Anderson will both be designing the range in collaboration with US brand Secrets in Lace, and modelling for it.
The line features five styles, retailing at around 35 dollars, and each pair comes with Anderson's signature Couture logo sewn into the fabric.
Made of nylon, the stockings feature polka dots, back seams for an old-fashioned effect and even a reinforced heel and toe for stiletto-lovers.
"This collaboration is the perfect match, as Pamela Anderson exudes sex appeal, and her stocking line is no exception," the Daily Mail quoted a spokesperson for the brand as saying.
"She knows how to play up her assets; this line exemplifies just that," the spokesman added.
British fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who committed suicide last year, has left 50,000 pounds to his beloved pet dogs.
McQueen, who found huge success with his challenging designs, left the money to ensure his dogs named Minter, Juice and Callum were pampered after he is gone.
The former designer also left large sums for his family members and his housekeepers in the will before hanging himself in his central London flat, after taking a cocktail of drugs the day before his mother's funeral.
"For the upkeep and maintenance of my dog or dogs so long as my dog or dogs shall live," Fox News quoted him as writing in his will, which was released after a request from Britain's Press Association news agency.
According to a suicide note, he asked his family members to take care of his dogs.
Emma Watson has revealed that she is extremely proud of the outfit she wore for the premiere of Harry Potter 3 when she was 14 years of age.
The 21-year-old British actress wore a purple vintage gown for the premiere of the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and said that the dress would always be 'special' on account of the effort put into creating a distinctive look.
"I've loved every dress I've worn for a premiere but probably the best is the purple dress from the 1920s," Contactmusic quoted Watson as saying.
"My mum and I found it in a vintage shop. It was torn but we had it repaired. The one rip we couldn't mend we covered with a corsage," she said.
"We dyed shoes to match and found vintage silk flowers for my hair. That was the first time I felt I was creating my own look so, although it wasn't perfect by any means, that dress will always be special to me," she added.
Emma, who has also modelled for a Burberry campaign, is keen to bring out the creativity in her.
She plans to continue her studies at Oxford and is currently taking fabric-cutting, design and sewing classes.
"Emma wants to challenge herself creatively. She's obsessed with art at the moment, " the Daily Mail quoted an agent as saying.
"She looks up to designers such as Georgina Chapman and Sarah Burton. She has also been studying the work of Joan Miro to inspire her," he added.
Victoria Beckham has designed a unique crocodile skin handbag for Selfridges' Christmas collection that comes with a giant price tag of 8,995 pounds.
The white bag is among other items being offered by Selfridges, and each one will be made to order, and can be hand-stamped with the owner's name or a personal message.
Posh, who has over 100 Hermes handbags, a haul that is said to be worth over 1.5 million pounds, was recently approached by PETA to reconsider using reptile skin in her handbag collections.
"We appreciate Ms Beckham's rejection of fur and have approached her -- 100 percent respectfully -- over the suffering of lizards and other reptiles who are often skinned alive for fashion," the Daily Mail quoted David W Perle, a spokesman for the organisation, as saying.
Vogue's highly anticipated September issue that will feature Kate Moss on its cover, as well as a fashion spread inside, has been kept a top secret.
In the issue she not only will be featuring in her wedding dress designed by John Galliano, but also will be modelling 10 dresses by the world's greatest designers.
According to the New York Post, the story features Moss dressed in gowns designed by the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang and Valentino.
Sources revealed that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour asked top designers to create the looks they would prefer to see Moss wear during her wedding.
Mario Testino photographed the waifish model in the various looks for the issue.
"Kate is on the cover, but the wedding is the minor part of the story. Anna told about 10 designers to pick out their ideal dresses for Kate," Fox News quoted a source as saying.
However, the nitty-gritty of the shoot was kept tightly under wraps.
"If anything got out about the cover, Anna would flip," one source quipped.
The Queen has described the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress display as "horrid", after she and Kate were given a sneak preview of the exhibition.
The Queen was prompted to describe it as "horrible" after she saw the headless mannequin that was used to exhibit the gown.
The dress, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, is the centrepiece of the attraction.
Made of ivory and white satin gazar, it is lit by 12 strong spotlights in the ballroom of Buckingham Palace and appears to almost float in the air.
It also features Kate's veil and Cartier 'Halo' tiara, which was loaned to her by the Queen, placed above the figure.
The monarch, who led the way into the Ballroom and stopped about 10 feet from the dress with Kate standing beside her, was heard saying "horrible" and then "horrid".
"It's made to look very creepy," the Telegraph quoted the Queen as saying.
Kate countered with her own view and said it had a "3D effect".
