Here's looking at the most memorable celebrity style moments of the year gone by.
Last year seems to have passed by us in a flash.
As we step into a brand new year, it seems apt to look back at some of the most memorable style moments gone by -- some good, others… well… not so good.
We'll let you decide which is which.
Let's start with Deepika Padukone.
With time, the stunning actress has been getting bolder about her wardrobe choices (see this). Never the one to shy away from showing off her sexy back or those insanely toned legs, at the Filmfare Awards ceremony this year, Deepika Padukone towered in this stunning Prabal Gurung gown with a plunging neckline.
There is a reason why People magazine named Kerry Washington the best-dressed woman in the world.
The Scandal star has always had a great style sense but on the Emmy Awards night, Washington totally nailed it in this cream-and-white Marchesa gown that she asked to be sent to her almost immediately after she saw it on the runway.
She's been a Kingfisher model and over the years, Lisa Haydon has managed to achieve everything a model could, including a TV show.
Haydon made a stunning entry at the recent launch of the Kingfisher Swimsuit calendar few weeks ago in this immaculate white number.

When you've married into the most well-known royal family in the world, you have little choice but to be well-turned-out at all times.
Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton stepped out of St Mary's Hospital with little Prince George in a simple polka dot dress.
The Duchess who rarely ever seems to have a bad style day earned praise on the day too even as comparisons were drawn between her and Lady Diana when she and Prince Charles introduced Prince William to the world more than 30 years ago.

The yesteryear actress Sangeeta Bijlani showed she could still pack a punch when she turned up in a cute mini dress to attend one of the Lakme Fashion Week shows this August.

Mother-of-two Gwyneth Paltrow works out real hard and doesn't mind showing off the results. But unlike many others, the stunning actress does so in trend-setting style.
At the Iron Man 3 premiere, Paltrow turned up in a sheer Antonio Berardi gown that revealed her toned pins.
While fashion writer Liz Jones called it 'the most vulgar, look-at-me, attention-seeking dress' she'd ever reviewed in her 30 years of writing on fashion, Paltrow's knickerless outing was one of the most talked about topics of the year.
This Jean Paul Gaultier number at the GQ Men of the Year Awards was probably as high-street fashion as Bollywood could get this year.
And while it is glamorous, it did tend to fall in the same mould as Gwyneth Paltrow's outfit on the previous page.

On her 49th birthday, Michelle Obama debuted her new hairdo in style. And though most of it is now gone, Lady Obama's bangs were the topic of fierce debate for most part of the year.
Was her hairdo a hit or a flop? You tell us!
Less than a week after her divorce, Sussanne Khan stepped out in style to host a star-studded launch of her store in Bandra. Dressed in a cute maroon number Sussanne showed us Hrithik Roshan just what he would be missing.

Giving the hues of blacks, blues and reds that she'd been wearing for the awards season a pass, Jennifer Lawrence took to the Oscars red carpet in a breathtaking pale Dior Couture gown.
The bridal-esque dress got as much applause as Lawrence who recovered ever so wonderfully from her fall while going to receive her award.

Aamir Khan counts her as the sexiest actress in Bollywood. And with good reason.
In her recent interviews and her red carpet appearances, Kangana Ranaut has shown us that she's as intelligent as she is stylish.
Bringing back the oft-avoided satin with this gown, Kangna Ranaut made her presence felt at the Hello! Fame awards earlier this year.

Giant Mohawk was the way to go for Sarah Jesscia Parker at the 2013 Met Gala.
The actress teamed a Philip Treacy headpiece, Giles Deacon gown and plaid Christian Louboutin boots to create this effect.
Did it work? You tell us!
There are some things you simply cannot carry off after a certain age.
Young Alia Bhatt seemed to know this well when she stepped out in this cute off-shoulder LBD and teamed it with a pair of neon pink shoes.

Sarah Jessica Parker wasn't the most outrageously dressed celebrity at the Met Gala. Beyonce also overdid it with this Givenchy gown that matched with those matching thigh-high boots.

We wind up the list with Miley Cyrus who had been making news for stripping off her clothes for most part of the year.
But in October this year, the singer showed that she could also clean up quite well as she attended the Fashion Group International's Night Of Stars gala in a full-length albeit backless halter dress by Marc Jacobs.
