Trendy, Stylish, Fun! The BEST of Wills India Fashion Week

Bringing designs that stood out at the show's recently concluded latest edition.

The recently concluded Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, held over five days at New Delhi's sprawling Pragati Maidan, saw Indian fashion designers showcase their Spring/Summer 2014 collections.

A mixed bag of unusual ideas and experimental silhouettes gone a tad wrong, the fashion week witnessed hits and misses in equal measure.

Take a look at the BEST designs we spotted on the ramp!

Malini Ramani

Resort wear expert Malini Ramani's collection was dominated by embellishments and sheer panels on evening gowns and a series of bikinis.

This particular piece struck us as rather magnificent long jacket and the striking cutout monokini inside.

Masaba Gupta

Known for her fun prints, Masaba had quite a few new designs to showcase on the ramp. 

Also big with sheers, this long skirt with a tulip-like hem and a crop top was one of the better pieces from her collection.

Pia Pauro

To say that designer Pia Pauro's collection was big on colours and prints would be a serious understatement.

This orange and yellow number was too fun to pass up for this list. Paired with those eye-catching stilettos and earrings, what's not to like here!

Amit Aggarwal

After nautical and jailhouse prints, it'd be exciting to see metallic stripes, highlight of Amit Aggarwal's collection, climb up the trends charts.

Simply put, that silver skirt is all kinds of awesome AND totally wearable if we might add.

Rehane

The Rehane Spring/Summer 2014 collection was high on comfortable maxis, summer dresses and bright colours.

We instantly fell in love with this super laid back, colourful number.

Nida Mahmood

Nida Mahmood's Bollywood-inspired graphic designs were a bit of a dampener on the amazing hot pants and jackets she showcased.

That said, we were instantly taken by this cool mint coloured number solely because of the perfection that was the crop top and its sleeves.

Also, the Amitabh Bachchan design on the skirt actually worked in this case.

Shivan and Narresh

While risque cutout swim suits and crop tops were the highlight of the designer duo's show, this bright and strikingly unusual dress won brownie points because shirt-dresses are too few and far between, especially on Indian ramps.

Ashish, Vikrant and Viral

That neckline. That volume. That length. Enough said.

Pankaj and Nidhi

Designer duo Pankaj and Nidhi's collection was high on gorgeous prints and colours.

This body-hugging number, coupled with a metallic neck piece, was a huge draw.

Pratima Pandey

Pratima Pandey's collection, titled Prama, featured this absolutely gorgeous embroidered jumpsuit in blue.

Mrinalini

Mrinalini's fuss-free silhouettes and two-tone dresses stood out.

This brown jacket and a billowy dress underneath make for a winning combination.

Dev R Nil

Dev R Nil's eccentric designs were eye-catching for the most part.

This irresistible mix of interesting print, sheer, black panels and a crop top was hard to miss. 

Urvashi Kaur

Apart from the rich shade of blue, we love the slight dash of red peeking from an inner layer of this stunner of a dress by Urvashi Kaur.

Dolly J

Designer Dolly J's Marie Antoinette-inspired collection featured this interesting high-waist pants and a crop top with a sheer detail.

Joy Mitra

Dominated by Bengali drapes, Joy Mitra's tribute to Choker Bali and its director Rituparno Ghosh had this regal lehenga in white and gold.
