It's a trend that's been gaining momentum in recent months, with celebrities opting for sheer styles to show off their bods.
Aside from the many beautiful bridal gowns being debuted on the red carpet instead of the aisle, there's another fad in the offing that's not quite as demure.
In a bid to display their best assets, stars are pulling out all the stops, wearing see-through creations by high-end designers with limbs, innerwear and sometimes wayyy more on display.
In the following pages, we bring you some of the hottest ladies wearing the hottest sheer styles!
Mallika Sherawat
We start off with our very own Malli, who makes the most of every opportunity to remind her fans of her feminine charms. She is seen here in a Stella McCartney lace number at the 2011 Romy Awards in Vienna last April. We still say the dress is rather demure by her standards!
Shy'm

You may not have heard of her, but French singer Shy'm made international headlines with her jaw-dropping white Franck Sorbier ensemble at the NRJ Music Awards back in January. The custom-made corset was tailored to her torso and hugged every curve!
Christina Perri

American singer Christina also decided to go bold and beautiful at the Brit Awards in February, with just her long hair protecting her modesty in this see-through Basil Soda gown. It's a good thing it wasn't too windy that night!
Irina Shayk

For a New York City do in July last year, the supermodel flashed the flesh in this mesh-panelled Diane Von Furstenberg mini.
Fergie

Black Eyed Peas songstress Fergie turned up in sheer orange lace by Jean Paul Gaultier for the Grammys this year. Is it just us, or do her high-waisted knickers look like grannypants?

At a movie premiere in Korea this April, the Sports Illustrated supermodel put her fabulous figure on display in this sensual black outfit from fashion house Femme D'armes.
Melody Thornton

Last month, the former Pussycat Dolls member decided to shock Hollywood with her choice of attire for the Elle Women In Music Event. Melody's nude-toned number left nothing to the imagination!
Rihanna

RiRi's penchant for exhibitionism is well-known, so when she showed up at last year's Grammys in this transparent white see-through number by Jean Paul Gaultier, no one was really surprised. But the dress did get more than a second look, for obvious reasons.
Lea Michele

Glee star Lea looked like a million dollars in this stunning metallic Marchesa gown at the Golden Globes 2012. Who says daring and classy don't mix?
Jessie J

Other than Christina Perri, someone else attended the Brit Awards in a red sheer dress this year too -- popster Jessie J. And guess who designed the ravishing red showstopper? Desi duo Falguni and Shane Peacock!
Jennifer Lopez

At the American Music Awards last November, JLo opted for a gorgeous Zuhair Murad ensemble that was rather clever -- it created an illusion of transparency, but was lined with a nude sheath.
Daisy Lowe

Brit model Daisy was stripe-tastic at the BAFTAs in London last May, rocking this unusual Craig Lawrence design that revealed her amazing bod.

On the left we have the the Francesco Scognamiglio design she donned for the Vanity Fair Oscars party last year and on the right, the Dolce & Gabbana ensemble she wore to the April launch of her signature perfume.
Beyonce
