Here's a look at the hottest catwalk queens -- and what they wore on the red carpet -- at the recently-concluded film festival.
To be sure the Annual Cannes Film Festival, held in the picturesque French city by the sea, is all about the movies.
But in addition to all the silver screen sirens who grace the event, an added dash of glamour comes from the fashion fraternity, who also turn up in droves to grace the occasion.
In the following pages, we bring you a glimpse of supermodels spotted at the 66th edition of the Festival de Cannes, as it is also known, held from May 15 to 26, 2013.
We start off with Irina Shayk, who caused quite a stir in this dare-to-bare Roberto Cavalli number -- completely sheer, cut-out and putting all her curves on display, it's a wonder the ravishing Russian managed to avoid a wardrobe malfunction.
Victoria's Secret Angel and Brazilian bombshell Alessandra Ambrosio also opted for a Roberto Cavalli creation, but hers was drastically different, with scaled sequins in a fishtail silhouette that spelled sparkling elegance.
Czech stunner Karolina Kurkova opted to stand out in a sea of gowns by putting her endless legs on display in an edgy leather mini by Balmain.
Dutch damsel Doutzen Kroes was a vision in this ethereal salmon-pink design by Atelier Versace, with its peek-a-boo neckline and thigh-high slit.
For a second red carpet appearance, Doutzen channeled the cut-out trend with a white sheath gown from the Calvin Klein Collection.
Sultry Puerto Rican Joan Smalls chose to highlight her slimline figure in an intricate cutwork ensemble by Emilio Pucci.
Looking perfectly runway-ready in a black lace gown by Burberry, British model Cara Delevingne pouted for the cameras.
One of the original '90s supermodels, Cindy Crawford chose Roberto Cavalli to upstage some of her younger rivals.
Cavalli certainly seems to have been the go-to designer for this year's Cannes fest -- seen here is Victoria's Secret Angel Erin Heatherton in another of his timeless creations.
Hungarian hottie Barbara Palvin made quite an impression in her black lace Dolce & Gabbana number, which offered up a glimpse of her shapely gams.
For another Cannes appearance, Barbara opted to go the androgynous route, and it paid off -- her Alexandre Vauthier tuxedo, worn over a sheer chiffon blouse, was the talk of the town.
Actress and model Milla Jovovich's Prada ensemble was completely backless, with only a flap bodice to protect her modesty. Needless to say, it garnered plenty of eyeballs!
Petra Nemcova looked like a million dollars in her peach-hued Elie Saab outfit, replete with sequins.
Petra upped the ante with even more sequins and a similar pink-tinted hue courtesy this Emilio Pucci gown on another occasion.
Brazilian babe Isabeli Fontana made a statement in a pristine white Elie Saab jumpsuit on the red carpet.
Another model to jump on the black lace bandwagon was British cutie Lily Donaldson, although hers was considerably less revealing than Irina and Cara's picks.
Statuesque Karlie Kloss played up her supermodel credentials in a feathered cocktail by Louis Vuitton.
Pretty as a picture in her embroidered, sheer Dolce & Gabbana design, Italian Bianca Balti had quite a few heads turning.
Bianca also shone in a hot pink Chanel Couture dress that showed off her toned back.
And finally we come to Aussie catwalk queen Jessica Hart, who was all smiles in a pleated fuschia Emilio Pucci outfit.
