In a round-up of recent world fashions, we bring you the best of designerwear seen on catwalks from Milan to China.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, China Fashion Week, Colombia's Cali Exposhow...there have been several major fashion events held across the globe in the past fortnight.
From bikinis to evening gowns and even evening gowns that look like bikinis (!), the designs ranged from sensual to glamorous to edgy to downright weird.
So browse through and bring youself up-to-date with the latest trends and international offerings in the following pages.
We start off with a glimpse from Sao Paulo Fashion Week, where the bright colours and sparkling sequins were a sight to behold.
This particularly striking number is the work of designer Fause Haten, from his label FH. Not for the faint-hearted, it features a completely sheer, nude top half save for strategically placed sequins.
We then travel to Santo Domingo, to the Dominicana Moda Fashion Week 2012.
The mood was decidedly more casual at the Colombian Cheviotto Jeans showing -- check out these hot low-waisted denims, teamed with an even hotter silver bikini top.
There were also edgy outfits on display at the Dominicana Moda FW, such as this one from couturier Giannina Azar.
Obviously inspired by a bondage theme, this unique dress sported gold straps cutting all the way through, worn over a matching bikini.
Beachwear was also aplenty, with plenty of sultry two-pieces on offer.
This high-waisted retro contrast is the work of designer Larissa Salcedo.
China Fashion Week saw traditional Oriental inspiration as well as contemporary clothing.
This lovely strapless cocktail was from the NE (degrees) TIGER Collection.
In stark contrast to the previous design is this chic yellow shorts and top combo with universal appeal, from a line by Dorian Ho.
The Chinese designers had red carpet ensembles on offer too, such as this ravishing red outfit from the collection by Koradior Fang Ying.
Graduate design students also demonstrated their awareness of world fashion at the China FW with their ESMOD line of clothing, offering up creative patterns that would please the likes of Lady Gaga.
Seen here is a fusion of oriental appeal and eccentricity; those 'flatform' shoes definitely stole the show!
The Cali Exposhow, held in Cali, Colombia, saw both local and international designers display their talent.
This fluid, zigzag tunic is the work of Colombian couturier Hernan Zajar.
French designer Jean Paul Gaultier was one of the big names showcasing at the Exposhow and didn't disappoint -- check out this exquisite corset, set off with a black veil, from his latest line.
The sexy, summery get-up in this picture is by a Colombian designer again -- Andres Otalora. White hotpants have been teamed with a see-through robe and high heels for effect.
Moving onto the Ukrainian Fashion Week, we come to this unique mix of leather and mesh from Ludmila Kislenko. The daring design offers up the chance to show off an hourglass silhouette.
Georgian duo Anouki and Bicholla presented yesteryear fashions emboldened by cut-away detailing.
The city of New York saw a flurry of beautiful bridals a couple of weeks ago, with big names like Badgley Mischka and Marchesa participating.
This fabulous lace-trimmed vision in white is from Monique Lhuillier, bridal couturier to the stars of Hollywood.
The inimitable Vera Wang was also part of the proceedings at the NY bridal presentation; this fish-tailed fantasy is just a sample of her many breathtaking gowns.
Moscow played host to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Spring/Summer 2013 last week, and the Barbie showing by designer Dasha Gauser was definitely a highlight.
Of course, the theme needs no explaining -- the models looked like the doll come to life. This flouncy peplum jacket worn over an LBD was one of the pieces that caught our eye.
On the other side of the spectrum on the Moscow runway was the ROB-ART collection by Katya Rozhdestvenskaya, which featured fluid, breezy styles like this kaftan mini.
In Nigeria, the Lagos Fashion and Design Week saw distinct African influences across collections; this gorgeous beaded tunic, worn over a black maxi and teamed with a proud headpiece is by Anita Quansah.
Of course, a lot of the Lagos designers had also tapped into world trends, like Sunny Rose -- get a load of this see-through ruffled shirt and wide-leg pants. Very urbane.
In Milan, Italy, the Atelier Fixdesign fashion show presenting the label's spring/summer 2013 line was a great success. Fun, flirty creations like this floral mini were the mainstay and the accessories went a long way in setting them off.
And finally, here's a look at what was going down at the Kazakhstan Fashion Week in Almaty. This unique number with drawstring waist and matching turban is by Kazakhstani designer Saltanat Baymukhamedova.
