PICS: Preeti Desai goes topless?
Former Miss Britain-turned-actress cries foul over topless pictures that have surfaced on the Internet
Model-turned-actress Preeti Desai is crying foul over a bunch of topless pictures that have surfaced on the Internet recently.
In some of these pictures, Desai, a former Miss Britain and an aspiring actress, poses topless wearing little else other than a white bikini bottom.
Desai has been in the news for some time now -- she is said to be dating actor Abhay Deol -- and will star alongside Sendhil Ramamurthy and Tusshar Kapoor in a Bollywood flick called Shor in the City.
Speaking through a press release, Preeti Desai claimed that the pictures were morphed and that she'd never posed for them.
'People aren't gullible'
There is a lot of rubbish on the Internet and I don't think people are gullible to believe everything they read or see! I am not going to waste time commenting on silly things like that!" she said.
The stunning Preeti Desai became the first model of colour to win the Miss Great Britain title in 2006.
Desai had even flirted with a 9to5 job when she worked as a beauty therapist before she won the crown.
'Mom showed my Kingfisher swimsuit shots to everyone'
In an interview to rediff.com, Preeti Desai said that when she was featured in Kingfisher Swimsuit Special Calendar 2008 her mother was the 'first one to show it to everyone'.
And even as she speaks fluent Gujarati -- she comes from a Gujarati family -- Preeti Desai confessed to us that she was only just learning Hindi.
'Watched Maine Pyaar Kiya at least a 100 times'
In the interview, Desai also said that she didn't have a lot of Hindi dialogues in Shor and the City but she was watching a lot of Bollywood movies to get a hang of the language.
She counts Amitabh Bachchan's performance in Hum as one of her favourites and says she's watched Maine Pyaar Kiya 'at least a 100 times'.
