Leading ladies from Bollywood expressed their support to save the girl child and upheld the cause of women empowerment through a fashion show in Mumbai.
It was a fashion event with a cause.
Stars and models walked the runway for Manish Malhotra to show support for the Indian girl child.
It was an action-packed evening: women achievers were honoured, panellists discussed the sorry state of affairs for the girl child in India -- more about that here -- and celebrities walked the ramp.

Just when people had forgotten about this leggy lass, Isha Kopikkar surprised everyone by making a significant comeback on the ramp. The former Miss India contestant wore a light pink anarkali with peach and purple hues.
Madhuri Dixit Nene looked resplendent and every bit the showstopper as she appeared in a red and green lehenga with golden motifs and zari work.
