Aussie stunner Miranda Kerr was voted 'Sexiest Woman Alive' for 2012 by Esquire. Here's why!
Men's mag Esquire has named supermodel Miranda Kerr the Sexiest Woman Alive this year.
The 28-year-old, who has a son with husband Orlando Bloom, has topped a list compiled by the UK edition of the magazine and celebrated the accolade by posing for the publication with her 15-month-old son, Femalefirst reported.
And as with all of these sexy shoots she's also spoken about embracing her body and the fact that she's a bit of a tomboy.
"I believe in celebrating the female figure and embracing what we've been given, not hiding that," she told the publication.
"I spent my childhood outdoors on my grandparents' farm. I learned to ride a motorbike when I was about six, a little PeeWee 50."
"I'd climb trees -- there was a big weeping willow. We had a flying fox (a zip-line). I was so fortunate to grow up like that."
She added: "I really feel that my body craves to be in the mountains or by the ocean or in the countryside. I still like to climb the odd tree. Yeah, it's fun! I like to climb. I find it very rewarding."
In the following pages, we bring you some of Miranda's most memorable magazine covers and sizzling avatars.

The leggy looker started off on her modelling career at the age of 13, with a photoshoot for a teenage publication in Australia and then signed on with an agency. She went on to appear in several ad campaigns, and her stint with Aussie surf chain Billabong upped her profile considerably.
Miranda then relocated to New York in 2004; she was 21 at the time. After working on several runway and print campaigns for major labels like Roberto Cavalli, Betsey Johnson and Blumarine, she was finally chosen for the high-profile Victoria's Secret fashion show in November 2006 (seen here).
Shortly after, in 2007, the lingerie giant offered her a contract to become a face of the brand as one of their 'Angels'; she is the first Australian to join this elite group of supermodels.
Appearing in the Victoria's Secret annual fashion shows and catalogues did a lot to boost the brunette beauty's profile.
After signing on with VS in 2007, Miranda began receiving other endorsement offers from major brands like cosmetics company Clinique and Californian retailer Arden B.
On the personal front, she began dating A-list actor Orlando Bloom, who she would go on to marry in 2010.
She also began appearing on several magazine covers of note and in 2008, came in 10th on Forbes' list of the world's wealthiest models, with estimated earnings of $3.5 million that past year.
Aside from the financial gains, her innocent face and perfect figure began to attract attention and she acquired the status of a desirable pin-up.
The year 2009 saw Miranda launch an organic skincare range called Kora. Considering the fresh-faced beauty fronted her own brand, it was destined for success -- her enviable skin makes any advice she gives sacred!
A nature lover, she also posed nude and chained to a tree for the July issue of Rolling Stone Australia that same year, in order to raise awareness to the plight of endangered koala bears (seen here).
The Rolling Stone cover was positively tame, however, in comparison to Miranda's appearance in the 2010 Pirelli Calendar (another plum assignment that is associated with top names in fashion like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell).
Shot by ace photographer Terry Richardson in Brazil, the Aussie supermodel went completely topless for the shoot, leaving nothing to the imagination.
The year 2010 also saw Miranda become part of the big league in terms of runway appearances.
Aside from the Victoria's Secret show and campaigns, she was seen on the runway for 'high fashion' couturiers like Balenciaga, Prada and Jil Sander.
She also went on to endorse other labels that thought her bikini body could give their swimwear sales a boost, like Turkish brand Ayyildiz (seen here is a still from their campaign).
As for her status back home, Miranda was now to Australia what Gisele Bundchen is to Brazil.
She became the face of Aussie department store David Jones shortly after signing on with Victoria's Secret for a princely six-figure sum and has been the showstopping siren at all their showings for five years running (seen here on the runway for the brand).
The sexy lass was by now the ninth wealthiest model in the world, according to Forbes -- at only 27 years old, she had earned an estimated four million dollars in the past 12 months, figuring in a list alongside Heidi Klum, Natalia Vodianova and other supermodels.
In July 2010, Miranda released a statement that she and Orlando Bloom had gotten married and in January 2011, she gave birth to their first child, a boy.
True to supermom style, Mrs Bloom snapped back into shape after giving birth; two months later she was back on the runway and showing off a washboard tummy.
In November 2011, nine months after having a baby, she was back on the Victoria's Secret runway, modelling the coveted $2.5 million 'Fantasy Bra' that is the showstopping entry each year.
She was also back on the cover of prestigious publications like Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.
In fact, it is worth noting that Miranda is the first model ever to feature on the pages of Vogue while pregnant -- she was six months along at the time of shooting for the January 2011 issue of the Aussie edition.
And of course, the latest feather in her cap is the 'Sexiest Woman Alive' title from Esquire.
But it's just another in a loooong line for Miranda -- she's also been named the fourth sexiest model in the world by Models.com, made it to FHM's '100 Sexiest Women' list for three years running and one of the '100 Hottest Women of All-Time' according to Men's Health.
Who knows what title she'll take next? There's no telling after her appearance at the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show next week!
