Actress of Pakistani origin Sofia Hayat tells us about her style statement at Lakme Fashion Week.

I'm wearing a sari by Sabah Khan, the designer from Sabashe. She's based it on the rickshaws of India.

The clothes are kind of a muslin and silk mix. The colours are very very bright, very Indian with a retro feel. At the back she's written 'Safety First', which is what you see on autorickshaws, no?

It's something that I love wearing. And this one is very retro in the way it looks, but it is also quite modern. I think she's done a fantastic job.

Saris are not very easy to drape, but this one -- you just put it on and you're done. It is comfortable.

I'd call Sabah the Lady Gaga of India with a retro feel! I've seen her designs a lot, going to all the fashion shows in England and I really think that she can compete in the international market right now.

And this ring I'm wearing is from London. It is a butterfly. I like butterflies for many, many reasons -- it is at first an ugly catterpillar, it's in a cocoon and then it becomes what it should be. And that is what my life's like. You know, my life wasn't too good and now I'm the butterfly I should be!
