Here's what designer Jelin George offered up at the opening of Lakme Fashion Week on Day Two.
Romance, fairytales, Prince Charming and the glamour of Hollywood stars from the '40s and '70s were the chief inspirations behind Jelin George's collection, which opened Day Two of the LFW.
Cottons, silks and georgettes highlighting colour blocking techniques made for graceful, feminine figures. Seen here is Nicole Faria in just such a pink and green delight.
Next we have Candice Pinto in a pistaschio-sashed white number sporting a plunging neckline with cut-away detail.
Pretty hearts dot these wide-leg pants, which are teamed with a fitted bustier.
The designer goes for a sharper cut with this baby blue jacket, which is in contrast with the heart-embellished skirt.
We see a continuity within the blue palette with this two-tone ensemble.
We quite liked the bow motif on the top and together with the sunny pencil skirt it's quite a hit.
The girlish charm now gives way to slightly bolder colours like purple and a dash of gold, which Sanea Shaikh carries off to perfection.
This silk rust hooded dress (inspired, perhaps, by Red Riding Hood?) with embroidery was a mysterious end to a fun trendy line.
Jelin walks down the ramp with her showstopper.
