Classic Indian glamour was at its best with Bhairavi Jaikishan's lehenga and sari line showcased on Day Four of the Fashion Week. Photographs: Rajesh Karkera
Keeping the focus on cocktail, evening and bridalwear, Bhairavi Jaikishan presented ornate saris and lehengas along with a unique lehenga-sari, which is her trademark, at Lakme today.
The line, called 'A Wonderful World', featured traditionally classic silhouettes in shades of black, nude, emerald, midnight blue, aubergine, shocking pink, red and burgundy.
Using only net as her fabric choice, the designer offered up tonal resham floral embellishments, contrast petticoats and cholis, scalloped sequin borders and badla work.
We start off with Sucheta Sharma in the sheer black lehenga-sari, richly embellished with gold applique floral work.
