It was a riot of colour that designer duo Mayank Anand and Shraddha Nigam showcased on Day Three of the LFW.
Presenting their new pret label Kapurthala at Lakme Fashion Week, Mayank Anand and Shraddha Nigam paid tribute to the colours of Punjab with their latest collection 'Technicolour'.
Shocking pinks, orange, chrome, yellow, orchid, royal blue, turquoise and lime gave lehengas, tops, cholis, dhotis, saris, and tunics a versatile touch; in fact, one particular woven number included a staggering 2,116 colours, while the fabrics used included Kota Doria, Champa, Tussore, Kashmiri and Bangalore silks.
Seen here is Sanea Shaikh in a lovely lime and fuschia-dominated skirt and choli.
Next we see an empire-waist drop-crotch jumpsuit in lime and lemon.
Candice Pinto provides a break in the colour scheme with this ivory drape.
Alesia Raut is both bright and demure in this fluid outfit, with a scarf wrapped around her head.
Hemangi Pate shows off her toned midriff in this twirling lehenga and fitted choli.
The shades on this kurta are truly stunning, and worn over a sari with the dupatta over the shoulder, it's an absolute vision.
Deepti Gujral makes quite an entrance in a skirt-kurta combo, but that little shrug is what we like best.
Surjeet Kaur is truly a modern Punjabi kudi in this one-sided top.
Alesia is the final entry, modelling a sheer ruffle-edged ghagra and fuschia choli.
Anand and Nigam seem to blend right in with their 'Technicolour' collection as they take in the applause.
