Expert craftsmanship, arts, and textiles came to the fore at designer Krishna Mehta's showing at Lakme Fashion Week.

Clean, elegant silhouettes sailed onto the runway, created from specially handwoven fabrics cleverly textured with dyeing or Shibori and stitching details.

Soft, feminine tones like peach, ecru and salmon with traces of purple, red, black and royal blue brought out the best in dresses, tunics, lehengas and ornate dupattas. Take a look.

An overall glimpse of 'Encore' was offered right at the start of the show, with models lining up in the beautiful ethnicwear.

Seen here is a one-shoulder embroidered georgette dress with peach rosette tulle dupatta.

Nude is shown off to the hilt on this embroidered asymmetric rosette kurta, worn over an eye-catching citrus lehenga.

The designer offers up a host of delicate designs using a neutral palette, with touches of colour adding panache.

A tunic sporting the rosette theme is worn over palazzo pants and teamed with a dupatta.

Dominating the runway thanks to its departure in colour tone, this black velvet antique blouse and exquisite lehenga exude dark glamour.

It's time for kimono couture with this striking zardozi and lace cutwork number.

Mehta adds a hint of sensuality to the line with this see-through ensemble, the jacket showing off still more jaw-dropping craftsmanship.

The festive mood runs high with this red-gold-citrus delight.

Flower-dotted and feminine, a ravishing dip-dye drape takes to the ramp.

Another fabulous sari, teamed with a dip-hem jacket has a very diva feel to it.

It's roses galore with these amazing red designs implementing the sane floral theme.
