Here's a glimpse of celeb hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani's line 'Black Velvet' from her label SoFake, started in collaboration with her partner Sukriti Grover, on Day Two of the LFW.
Together with Sukriti Grover, Sapna Bhavnani has made her foray into the world of fashion designing with her brand SoFake, which promotes the use of faux leather.
Given their premise, it's hardly surprising that the showing, their second time at Fashion Week, was sponsored by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Their latest collection, called 'Black Velvet', aims to highlight how you need not use animal products to look fashionable. The all-black garments also have another ideal -- to speak out against the obsession with fairness in India.
And to drive the point home, they had Mandira Bedi model the showstopper, but first, here's a look at some other creations from the line like this textured full-length number.
Strapless sensuality is captured with this midi cocktail and dramatised by the OTT eyewear.
This jumpsuit creates the illusion of being worn underneath a jacket, courtesy contrasting fabric panels and long puffed sleeves.
We see separates along the same vein this time around, their overall appeal rather androgynous.
The designers continue to play with texture, focusing on an embossed leaf motif with this flamboyant jacket.
Mandira Bedi is a femme fatale in black, the plunging, slit ensemble highlighting her curves.
Sapna, Mandira and Sukriti take to the ramp together as the audience applauds their efforts.
