Day Three of Lakme opened with an accessories showing.
Accessory designers Eina Ahluwalia, Malini Agarwalla and Suhani Pittie opened the third day of Lakme Fashion Week with jewellery and handbags galore!
First up was Ahluwalia's 'Wedding Vows' collection of jewels -- bold, defiant pieces that were meant to stand as a message against domestic violence against women. Imposing gold pendants shaped like daggers, knives, trishuls, bows and arrows made a statement.
Seen here is a beautiful set of matching swords -- no messing with this beauty!
We see a resplendent trishul motif set in jade.
Gold strands link the hair to a delicate nath or bridal nose ring.
Alhuwalia steps out alongside one of her creations.
Next we have the handbag stylings of Malini Agarwala's label Malaga.
The line this time was 'Brazilian Carnevale', showcasing the colour and shine of that world-renowned event. Seen here is Surelee Joseph carrying an impressive feathered and tasselled tote.
We loved this stone-embellished carry-all and the necklace is cute too.
For those who like their accessories to make a statement, this shimmering, feathered clutch and chains that link at the waist are just the thing.
Agarwalla takes her turn on the ramp.
And finally, we come to Suhani Pittie's 'Urban Folk' line -- multi-textured and coloured elements that mixed in rural designs with modern vibes.
Seen here is a stiff moulded collar with looped multi-circular motif.
We see a play on the earlier design, but this time there are metallic coloured cuffs adding a new edge.
A spiked choker is teamed with a long neckpiece featuring metallic elements and color for effect.
Suhani Pittie soaks in the adulation of the audience and her models.
