Young fashion designer Indira Baikerikar Ghosh showed her latest line Indi on the Talent Box ramp on Day 2 of the Lakme Fashion Week.
The collection featured outfits in almost all the colours of the spectrum.
Ghosh described the line as being 'luxury holiday wear' that was high on 'style as well as comfort'.
"I don't follow trends," Ghosh told rediff.com, "Everything's in fashion as long as you can carry it well."
The concept behind the creations, she said, was to celebrate 'the freedom and the new'.
"I believe more in draping rather than in the structured pattern styling that we've been taught in our schools," she said.
The fabric was lightweight silk georgettes, chiffons and stretch silk with minimalistic highlighting on garments.
Prints, that are her forte, also featured prominently on her designs as did the work of artisans of the Shautal tribes of Santiniketan.
Ghosh has shown at the Kolkata Fashion week before where her designs, simple yet stylish, sought inspiration from nature and the river Brahmaputra.
