Men's magazine GQ listed out the 25 most stylish men of 2012. Here are some of them who made it.
Daniel Craig topped GQ magazine's list of 25 Most Stylish Men of 2012, beating competition from the likes of David Beckham and Robert Pattinson.
On Daniel Craig's style, the magazine writes:
Like the double-0 agent he plays on the big screen, Daniel Craig's go-to is a perfectly cut Tom Ford suit that frankly makes other famous guys look like they've never heard of a tailor. But the actor's hardly just a mannequin for his favorite designer's wares, and 2012 saw Craig expanding his sartorial horizons into new GQ-approved areas, whether it be adopting the brown suit, playing with unconventional shirt and tie combos, or just saying "eff it" and showing up to a premiere in some eye-grabbing Nikes.
Zac Efron
The James Bond star was followed by actor Zac Efron best-known for his roles in the High School Musical films at the second place.
GQ had only the good things to say about the young actor, whose looks 'practically followed a GQ checklist of dressing directives for a young modern guy, from how clothes should fit, to investing in key pieces, to keeping it all simple but never boring'.
David Beckham
Soccer star David Beckham grabbed the third spot. It made sense, the magazine wrote, for him to 'know a thing or two about looking good' since 'his sons dress better than plenty of grown men'.
The good folks at GQ observed that over the years the soccer star had evolved in his sense of dressing and his look had become more gentlemanly.
Bruno Mars
Also making to the list at number four was singer Bruno Mars who the magazine described as 'part modern-day Sammy Davis Jr, part mellow Bob Marley type'.
Actor Ewan McGregor made it to the top five in the list, which recognised 'famous guys (who) finally got serious about taking risks and looking good'.
Robert Pattinson
The Twilight star made it to the sixth spot with his preferred Gucci suits. But it wasn't just the suited look that impressed GQ. 'His grunge 2.0 getups, the magazine wrote, 'have us wondering how much flannel we'll see on the Fall '13 runways'.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Up and coming star Joseph Gordon-Levitt also caught the attention of the magazine as he 'slayed it when it came to dressing for his Dark Knight Rises and Premium Rush premieres'.
Tyson Chandler
The magazine also tipped the hat for basketball player Tyson Chandler's edgy style. Chandler was at number 8 in the list of the most stylish men.
Justin Theroux
Actor/director Justin Theroux who the magazine wrote 'makes one of the best cases for uniform dressing that we've seen in a while' came at number nine.
Nick Jonas
Singer Nick Jonas rounded off the top ten for his 'steady showing of dressed-up and -down looks that impressively walked the line between youthful and refined'.
Rap mogul Jay-Z, actors Ryan Gosling and Andrew Garfield, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine were also among the 25 stylish men. The list also made space for animated spy character Archer from the sitcom TV series. "The spy knows his way around a gray Don Draper suit and dinner jacket better than almost anyone," said the magazine.
